This article contains valuable and current

information. The article reveals valuable

statistics, which support the points made.

Although the article is short, it captivates the

attention of the reader and summarises key

points in six sentences, information covered is

relatable and concise. It could be

interpreted, on the other hand, that the

information covered is of common knowledge

to most people. The fact that the article

includes quotes from professionals such as the

GfK executive, making the article seem more

consistent and a reliable source.

Article 2:1 in 10 US Shoppers Will Buy All Christmas Gifts on Mobile

Like Article one, this article uses statistics

to support the points made. It is relatively

longer than article one, so more

information is covered. Unlike article one

this article isn’t as concise and includes

information which isn’t as valuable, some

may argue that too many statistics are

included which decreases the value of

information covered. The article finishes

with a quote which is an effective method

in concluding points made.

This article includes little information about

the crime, however the information that

has been included adds a sense of

excitement and captivating therefore even

though the story is short, it still has

interesting values. It also talks about irony

by linking to a film “Goodfellas”

Article 1:Thousands of ipad minis stolen in covert heist

This article is a provider of more information

compared to the previous article. Comparing

numerical and statistical information allows

the less- knowledgeable reader to understand

the extent of the dramatic growth that square

has made. However, although incorporating

other companies into the article such as

Starbucks and how they are using mobile

payment transactions, it doesn’t explain in

great detail what the mobile payment method

actually is, therefore this article is more

appropriate for updating readers that already

know about this topic, rather than informing

on a new story

Article 2:Square sets another mobile payment processing milestone

Gives introduction to the company to tell the reader who they are, what they do and where they’re based which enables the reader to get a basic understanding of how they link to the mobile market and how it makes it easier to buy mobile ads. (which links to the article itself)Gives links to the appropriate website when talking about it which involves the reader and also makes them login if they do want to be a part of the comments, which may make them more inclined to do so after reading the article.Doesn’t really give many example and could be considered to formal, I don’t think when people scan over there news articles that this would be one to cause much interest as people may not think it will benefit or interest them to read.

H&M use QR codes so that consumers can add clothing to their online

baskets when passing by a billboard or advertisement on public

transport. This allows immediate purchasing online so that customers

don’t have to go into a h&m store in order for h&m to benefit from the

advertisement. Also labels can be put into the back of clothing, therefore

is other women compliment another’s garment, they can see if the h&m

still stock this item and they can then add it to an online basket.

Last year, Heinz put QR codes on the back of their bottles in order
