HEREDITARY CANCER.

• for the replication of DNA, There are different components that handle it a suitable replication. there are even enzymes dedicated to the repair of DNA when there are errors or some alteration during replication. But despite all controls that have to spend the DNA can be mutated or modified and get small or big diseases. Showing that the genome is of great importance for human.

INTRODUCTION

• The replication is the process from which a molecule of mother DNA is synthesized a new, giving rise two molecules of daughters DNA, it have identical sequence to the mother DNA. The replication occurs so coordinated with cell division. In the phase s of the cell cycle. The replication of DNA is semiconservative, this is a process where a thread of progenitor DNA is conserve in each of the molecules daughters DNA.

• The main enzyme In replication is DNA polymerase, the cell eukaryotic have three DNA polymerase (α,δ,ε). these enzyme work in replication of DNA nuclear , a polymerase γ is locate in the mitochondria and it work in the replication DNA mitochondria and a final polymerase β working in the bug fixes.

• They discovered a set of proteins that stabilise the sequence of events in which cells duplicate their DNA and then separate into two new cells, each identical to the original. Flaws in this delicate, complex operation can lead to cancer.

• Researchers at the University of Edinburgh found that a set of proteins, known as the Ska complex, help anchor DNA, the form of chromosomes, by interacting with strands of cell material. Chromosomes remain attached to these strands as they are separated, in a process that helps distribute DNA correctly to the newly formed cells

Scientists determined the structure of the relevant part of the protein complex by analysing crystals of it with lab tools and cell-based experiments. This showed how the Ska complex attaches to the strands, helping to bind the DNA material.

"Our findings represent a milestone in resolving the mystery of how these key proteins enable new cells to separate properly and equally, in this essential process for life. The findings of our work have the potential to create new avenues in drug discovery towards fighting cancer."

PERONAL OPINION

I think that is very important know how the world is evolving and have found response to all diseases. Previously could only be cured by death because the medicine sometimes seems more business and see that this is improving is good. The medicine is to prevent and cure diseases not is a form to acquire money depending one diseases. Just need to wait to be used in a new therapeutic knowledge. This shows one more time that all disease is curable only don't have eyes open and aware easily reach them.

INTERNATIONAL STUDY ALLOWS BETTER PREDICTION OF RISK OF HEREDITARY CANCER.

Sciencedaily, January 15, 2014• All cancers are caused by

abnormalities in the genetic material of cells , that make them lose their function and become malignant .

• In 90 or 95 % of cases of people with cancer are born with genes functioning properly until, by external factors, for errors that may occur during normal DNA replication or by the passage of time, the genetic material , which had always worked properly, breaks down. When genes embrace alterations or mutations, the cells do not perform its function properly.

Sciencedaily, January 15, 2014A small percentage of people are born with an error in the genetic material that greatly increases the chances of developing cancer. When this is the main cause for the occurrence of the disease, we talk about hereditary cancer or hereditary cancer predisposition. It is estimated that only between 5 and 10% of all tumors are hereditary.

• Lynch syndrome, also called hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer polyposis (English HNPCC) is an inherited disease that increases the risk of various tumors , especially colon and endometrial cancer , being responsible for between 2 and 5 % of cases .

• The classification of a variant responsible for Lynch syndrome is critical for genetic counseling of families, allowing predictive study of families at risk and , if they are carriers , help them take preventive measures and adequate monitoring

PERSONAL OPINION

I think that the best way to practice medicine is by

prevention, because it will make it easier and with less suffering. Research is appropriate not only

find ways to cure a disease, because prevention is more

important in medical practice and especially if has to do with a

degenerative disease such as cancer, this could be the way to

find cures for other disease.

The main importance is that through this

research can be corrected portions of

mutated DNA can serve as a basis for the creation of

different drugs enabling the

treatment of cancer in the correction of your DNA, impeding that

the cells from dividing with your mutated

DNA
