Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. -Hebrews 13:16 Last weekend, we held our Annual Volunteer Recognition luncheon. This event was an opportunity to recognize and thank the many volunteers who make our parish the vibrant faith community it is. If you are not yet involved in one of our many volunteer opportunities, we encourage you to look at the parish activities listed below and consider joining one. You won’t know how much you may enjoy it until you try, and your participation will make a difference to so many others. Adult Religious Education: Anna Stellwag, 359-0769. Help to welcome and instruct new adult faith candidates. Altar Society: Anna Stellwag, 359-0769; Mary McCarroll, 359-2546. Share an hour or two a week year round or just one month a year and help to maintain our altar linens and altar area. Choirs: Dr. Rene Dalandan, 359-9015. Join one of our choir groups and help to share God’s word through the beauty of song. CYO Basketball: Mary Anne Pagnani, [email protected]. Volunteers are needed to serve as coaches or help in other ways. Driving Seniors to Mass: John D’Andrea, 735-0110. Give a small bit of your time to help seniors in our parish attend mass. Volunteers drive senior parishioners to and from Sunday mass. Eucharistic Ministry at Mass: Tim Brown, 848-2091. Serve as a Eucharistic Minister – volunteers are generally scheduled to serve every 3-4 weeks and can share scheduling conflicts ahead of time to avoid conflicts. Eucharistic Ministry, Home: Edie Reimer, 359-4086. Good Samaritan Ministry: Help coordinate one of our holiday collections for those in need. Lectors: Veronica Rogers, 624-1427. Our lectors help share the Word of God, lectors are assigned to serve every 3-4 weeks. Parish Prayer Group: Aida Dalandan, 359-9015. The prayer group meets once a week and prays for those in need. Prayer Shawl Ministry: Louise Langan, 359-5648. The prayer shawl group meets on Thursday afternoons at 2pm and knits shawls for those in need of spiritual support. Religious Education: Audrey Angelini, 359-4014. Join us as a catechist and help spread God’s word to our parish children. We provide support and training. Ushers: Ken Lee, 353-1915.
