Understanding the Safeco IT System Requirements

There is a 1 hour “time-out factor” which impacts the order processing on theMarketing Solutions Center (MSC).

– Upon initial log-in, if an agent sits idle for 60 minutes or more, the transaction and all order details are lost, even if you hit “save”. (Idle is defined as no activity has occurred on your computer, such as typing or moving a mouse).

– New log-in is required and order process begins from step one of the shopping card experience.

You cannot “save as you go” during this order process and then return to place an order. You must complete your order through the shopping cart experience for an order to be complete.

– Be prepared in advance before you initiate the campaign order.

Orders must be placed at a Sub-Stat level only.

– Safeco’s Security Authentication requirements do not allow the MSC to combine more than one sub-stat per order. You cannot order at the Owner or Bonus Master ID level.

– Agents who have more than one sub-stat must execute one unique campaign order per sub-stat code.

Logging Onto the MSC

- Enter your User ID andPassword.

- Select Login.

Step 1Navigate to the Cross-SellProgram page

From the Marketing Solutions Center Home Page, click on the Retain and Grow tab and select Cross Sell Program.

Step 3

On the Search Results page, click the thumbnail of the Cross-Sell Letter, Motorcycle, Watercraft, and RV to view preview on right.

Click on Download Preview to preview letter.

Once ready to order, click on the Personalize button.

Step 4

Personalize your letter by adding your agency information.

Important please note:

- Fields with red asterisks are required. They must be filled out to proceed. Once fields are complete, click on the “Update” button

- Use a print quality logo (at least 300 dots per inch). Logos that are website quality will print blurry.

- Check the box indicating that you have viewed and accepted Safeco’s Terms and Conditions.

- Click on PDF Preview to view and proof your final letter.

- Check the box indicating that you have viewed a PDF Preview of your personalized letter.

- Click on “View and Accept Terms and Conditions” and review the terms and conditions of the program.

Once the letter has been personalized and proofread, click on the orange Next button to proceed.

Step 5

Select the policyholders you would like to mail.

Policyholders are listed with their Safeco policy number and policy type (ex. auto, home).

Also listed with a “Y” for “Yes” are the additional items that the policyholder may own (motorcycle, watercraft, or RV).

You can choose to either Select All of your policyholders to mail to, or if you would like to choose specific policyholders, hitUnselect All first, and then place a check mark in theboxes in the Selected column to choose the policyholders you’d like toinclude in this program.

If you have multiple pages of policyholders, make sure you click on each page and select policyholders you would like to send a letter. Click on Save throughout the process to save your changes. **If inactive for over an hour, you will be automatically logged out of the MSC and your changes will not be saved.

When complete, click on Save, and then on Next in order to proceed.

Step 6

Select frequency of your mailing.

You may choose to mail your letters at the same time, in which case you select the button for Single Mailing. Or you maychoose to split them among several mail dates, byselecting the button for Multi Drop Mailing. This can help make follow-upcalls manageable if you’re mail quantity is significantly large. If you choose MultiDrop Mailings, please choose your preferences inthe drop down menus to the right of the Multi Drop Mailing selection.

Click on Next to proceed.

Step 7

Add your order to the shopping cart.

IMPORTANT:We suggest you click on PDF Preview and proofread your letter one final time.

After proofreading your letter, click the Add to Shopping Cart button.

Or, if corrections need to be made, click on Previous.

Step 8

Check Out.

- Click on the Check Out button to proceed to payment screens. If you have a discount code as part of a special arrangement or promotion, input the discount code in the space provided and click Apply, then Check Out.

Step 9

Order ConfirmationEmail

You will receive an email which provides a summary of yourorder.

The email will come from a d m i n @s a f e c o - msc.com (be sure to add this address to your “Trusted” users list.)

Two things to note:

Qty Ordered will reflect one (1) order. This is NOT the quantity mailed.

Shipping Method will be blank, since the letters will be mailed on your behalf.

Step 10

Shipping Confirmation Email

You will receive an email when your cross-sell order mails. If you chose the multi-drop mail option, you will receive an email after each batch of letters mail. Because it is amailing, the Ship to, Shipping Method,and TrackingNumber fields will be blank.
