DocsToFAST - Upload Emails and Documents Use DocsToFAST to upload emails, attachments and local documents to your FAST file as single or multiple documents. Supported documents are PDF, TIF, DOCX and XLSX; with a size limitation of 28 MB.

Step 1: Select DocsToFAST Email/Attachment Option 1. Select the appropriate email message
2. Click the dropdown on the Outlook Home bar (see Reactivate/Enable DocsToFAST Add-In in this document if not displayed) A. If the email contains attachment(s), choose Attachment Only, Message Only, or Send Msg + Attachment
B. If the email does not contain attachment(s), choose Message Only
NOTE: The DocsToFAST popup window opens when you choose any of the above upload options. The Document(s) in Upload Job section at the bottom displays entries for the uploaded email and attachment(s) as applicable.
3. Continue to Step 2: Enter FAST File Number(s)

Step 2: Enter FAST File(s) for Upload
Upload to Single File 1. In the Destination FAST File section of the DocstoFAST popup, confirm or change the FAST Region 2. Type the file number in the File# field 3. Click Open
4. In the FAST File Info Summary popup, click Yes to confirm the file number, or No to return and enter a different file number
NOTE: When Yes is selected, the address, buyer and seller information populates below the File number.
5. Continue to Step 3: Name/Upload Documents
Upload to Many Files 1. In the Destination FAST File section of the DocstoFAST popup, confirm or change the FAST Region
2. Click 3. Type file numbers one per line; or separated by comma (,), semi-colon (;) or | (character above Enter key)
4. Click
5. In the Get Many Files popup, confirm checked files, or uncheck to remove
6. Click
NOTE: The number of files and File Numbers display in the DocsToFAST popup.

Step 3: Name/Upload Documents Name documents using the FAST Standard Naming method or ECP-FASTscan method (preset naming options.) Remove passwords from password protected documents before naming. You can also split large documents, such as packages, into multiple attachments, if applicable.
Remove Document Password (if applicable)
1. Click 2. In the Enter Required Password(s) popup, type password

1. From the DocsToFAST popup, click

1. In the Document Name Selector popup, confirm the check-box is selected if naming multiple documents
2. Select FAST or ECP-FASTscan Buttons Naming Method as applicable
3. Continue to FAST or ECP FASTscan naming method procedures
Complete Upload Using FAST Naming Method FAST uses the FAST Standard Document Naming List Category lists.
1. In the Document Name Selector popup, select a Category from the dropdown
2. From the Select section, click the applicable FAST Document Name
3. Optionally, click the Fav? checkbox to add the Document Name to (my favorites) Category
4. If applicable, enter additional text to the end of the FAST Document Name in the Add’l Info field
5. Click
6. When you are returned to the In the DocsToFAST popup, click to upload
NOTE: Uploaded email and attachments display as one document in FAST Document Repository.

Complete Upload Using ECP-FASTscan Buttons Naming Method ECP-FASTscan uses preset options of document names based on your location. This option is available if you have access to ECP-FASTscan.
1. Select the appropriate Category tab 2. Select applicable document name button
3. When you are returned to the In the DocsToFAST popup, click to upload
Optional: Split into Multiple Documents for Upload An attachment may be split into multiple documents for upload; email messages may be imported as separate documents.
1. In the Documents in Upload Job section, click the document you want to split
2. Click 3. In the Split and Upload Documents popup, remove checkmark(s) in Keep column to exclude page(s) from the upload
4. Click to open the Document Name Selector popup on top of the Split and Upload Documents window
5. Name the document using the FAST or ECP-FASTscan method
6. Click as appropriate to name additional documents OR to close the popup and return to the Split and Upload Documents window
NOTE: To include multiple pages in same document upload, select the page check-box(es) and the Also, upload all checked pages as a single document named checkbox to name using the FAST or ECP-FASTscan method.

7. Lastly, click to upload to the appropriate file
NOTE: Imported email and attachment display in FAST Document Repository as multiple documents.
Optional: Upload Local Documents 1. Access the DocsToFAST popup by selecting an email message and any Send to DocsToFAST menu option 2. Click the Get Other Doc(s) to Upload menu option
3. In the Get Other Document File(s)popup, locate and select the document to import
4. Click 5. From the DocsToFAST window, enter your FAST File Number in File# 6. Click Open
7. Review the information in the FAST File Info Summary popup
8. Click to confirm
9. Click 10. Name and upload the document using the FAST or ECP-FASTscan method 11. Uncheck the checkbox at the bottom right of the DocsToFAST popup to retain the
document file after upload
12. Lastly, click the button to upload to the file
Email FAST Docs from Outlook Send FAST file documents from Document Repository in new emails, or by replying/forwarding existing emails. NOTES:
Email Docs from FAST is not available for orders placed same day.
Document Templates that have not been imaged cannot be pulled into Outlook and sent.

5. Review accuracy of FAST File Info Summary

NOTE: When the file information loads, a list of the imaged documents currently in the file’s Document Repository also display on the Imaged Repository Docs tab.
7. Click the Select checkbox for the documents you want to attach to the email
8. Click at the bottom of the popup
NOTE: The selected documents display on the # ready to email tab.
9. To rename the attachment, click in the Attachment Name field and type the new name
10. At the bottom of the Emailed Image popup, select the Security Method from the dropdown
11. To preview the selected attachment prior to send, click , then click
12. Click to complete and send the email 13. An Outlook email message opens and includes the selected FAST documents as attachments
14. Complete and send the email as appropriate
NOTE: An entry for the email is added to Document Repository as SEC-DocsEmailedFrom Outlook.

Reference: Reactivate/Enable DocsToFAST Add-In When the Add-In does not display in Outlook it needs to be reactivated:
