In this annotated bibliography uE sount to develop asource of information that would present a range ofmaterial varying in media format for ereating osupplementing a course in science. BocAUSe of theenormous amount of material available, we employed Aselective as opposed to an exhaustive approach.

The remainder of this section descrroes how to use thebibliography and presents a bibliographic index.

A numerical notation has been employed with the wholenumbers (e.g.1, 47) designating source, and fractionalnumbers (e.g. 1.4 or 47.3) designating items suppliedby that source. Additionally, the sources occuralphabetically. An entry follows the format seen below;

A. B. C. D.

10.4 Experiments in 59271 $59.50

E. F. G. 11,

'These FS visually present PX FS 4-5Physical Sciences a variety of physical

experiments illustratingdiverse scientificpricioles.

"A" refers to the fourth item supplied by source 10. "s"indicates the item title followed by"C" its order number(if available) and "D" the item price. A brief deacription("E") follows this. To provide a means of "rapidlyevaluating", we presented the information "V" through"H" on the right; the first row ("F") indicates c-mtent(physical science, experimental in emphasis (see Table 1for listing of abbreviations and their meaning). The secondrow ("0") indicates grade level 'junior and senior highschool). Asterisks by the item number and grade leveldeaote materials developed especially for "special education".

As indicated above, Table 1 Lists the abbreviations usedthroughout the bibliography. These fall into three classes:scientific content, media format and grade level.
