The remainder of the report presents charts of SCC objectives, activities, target dates, updates, and responsible staff for the following strategic areas: (1) students, emphasizing the areas of retention, non-traditional students, orientation, recruitment, and student services; (2) curriculum, focusing on developmental and competency-based education, technology, critical thinking, returning adult students, job training, and distance education; (3) buildings and grounds; (4) construction projects; (5) instructional support services, stressing the need for instructional equipment and computer technology and training; (6) implications for staff, including efforts related to increasing staff recognition and input; (7) financial planning, including designing a model for financial forecasting and increasing funding from state and alternative sources; and (8) enhancing SCC's public image.
