INTRODUCTION

This bibliography is a beginning. It will be followed, as time

permits, by an annotated bibliography, by a series of case study examples

of planning and evaluation efforts, and by a text for program planning

and evaluation in adult education agencies. The format for this bibliography

is a simple planning model. (See Figure 1.) The table of contents provides

references to those materials most applicable for each model component. All

references includdd have not been reviewed by this author; consequently, some

sources may not be as directly related to a particular component as their

titles would imply. Nor will the accuracy of each bibliographic citation be

guaranteed, as the process of extracting and rewriting has limitations.

However, it is hoped that this information will serve the purpose of providing

a guide for those interested in pursuing the planning and evaluation literature.
