SHIPPING export

In the past, Nigeria used to be part of the developing countries that were recognised as a contributor to the global export pull in 1980. 20 years later, World Trade Organisation (WTO) conducted another research that is shocking. Though the contribution of the so called ‘developing countries”

You Vision for Growth

The exporter must research markets and opportunities as well as constraints to come up with a viable vision. This

should include specific steps to growth.

What constitute export readiness

Is there market for your product outside Nigeria, and is it available? Can I easily source them without the consignee waiting? Is the demand worth the risk?

Which country will be the best that I can quickly self the goods?

How much will it cost me to export and can I afford it?

What will be the best means of transportation?

What are the basic local laws guiding the exportation?

You need to register with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) so anyone can verify your details.

Nigeria Export Promotion Council registration is needed for non-oil exportation.

Advertise your product in any known platform e.g. develop a website to promote your product.

Collaborate with people that are already in the business. Some may guide you on what to do but this may not come easy.

Attend seminars on the area you want to focus on and meet with people with better experience
