DCMS Slated to Win KAMSA Gold Standard Reading Award for two consecutive years.

It is rumored that Lora Louquet will again take top honors at the annual KAMSA awards ceremony due to the top DCMS reading teachers performance.

This may be the first time in the history of this award that a winner for high performance in reading has taken home the award in two consecutive years.

DCMS will take top honors for high performance in math at the annual KAMSA awards ceremony

KAMSA will announce on May 7th the Gold Standard Awards in mathematics. In a short interview with Mrs. Deb Lapka of Dodge City Middle School,

Mrs. Lapka stated that she, “was honored for the math department to be a first time recipient. This honor will carry forth the idea that DCMS is a high achieving school.”

KAMSA Middle School of the Year Finalist 2012

KAMSA will announce on May 7, 2012 the recipients of the top six Middle Schools in the state of Kansas. Rumored to be in the top six is Dodge City Middle school.Honorary banners will be presented during a special ceremony held to recognize the best of the best middle schools in the state of Kansas.
