2. Read everything before you do anything.
3. Identify the aluminum floor installed at the factory‐ the 6511 floor has hatches, and the 6512 is
a plain floor without hatch openings.

4. If you have the 6511 floor the latches must be removed & the hatch doors riveted shut as they
are no longer accessible once the package is installed. Use the supplied 5” x 6” aluminum plates
to cover the latch openings as shown (riveted to the underside of the hatch doors). If you have
the 6512 floor proceed to Step 5.

5. Assemble rear Katerack drawers to side frames; the shorter Unistrut leg on each frame goes
towards the rear hatch opening. This unit can be assembled outside of the vehicle. The top
drawer goes as high as possible, and the lower drawer is installed 14” below the top drawer.
6. Slide the unit into the rear of the vehicle being careful not to scratch the floor or the rear pillar
plastic trim. The rear of the Katerack should be 6 1/2" from the rear edge of the floor &
centered in the opening.
7. Check that you have the required 44 3/8” spacing between the Unistrut uprights, mark the floor
through the predrilled holes in the base angles, and then secure the Katerack frames to the floor
using the supplied PlusNuts and 1/4" bolts & flat washers. See Figures 5 & 6 below.

8. Install the top attachment brackets for the rear Katerack (marked curbside & roadside) using the
supplied fasteners. This will tie into existing holes over the side window frames. The lateral
stiffeners will need to be fished through the slots in the bracket prior to the brackets being
secured to the 2x2 frame angles. Leave the lateral stiffeners loose until the top attachment
brackets are secured. Install PlusNuts in factory upper attachment points on both sides (requires
drilling out the pre‐threaded holes), and secure the top brackets using the fasteners provided.
9. Square up the rear (cab side) of the Katerack frame, and secure the lateral stiffeners. Check for
the required 44 3/8” spacing between the Unistrut uprights first. The supplied self‐tapping
screws are drilled directly through the plastic trim panels (there are internal shoulders to keep
the panels from caving. Do not over torque these fasteners, as cracking of the plastic may occur.
10. Install the 10” modular drawer extension kit if not already installed.
