Due to geographical and economic factors, the area of cultivated land

currently reaches only 2,123,000 hectares. This area is distributed

accordingly:

• 1,303,210 hectares are used for annual and permanent crops,

• 401,018 hectares for sown pastures

Agriculture, livestock and forestry activity in Chile is labour intensive, and

is one of the industries that generates the most

employment in the country (710,000 jobs on average over the

year).

La Corporación Red Nacional de Emergencia (RNE) firmó una alianza estratégica con la empresa de monitoreo y análisis de medios de comunicación Litoralpress. De esta manera, Litoralpress, compañía líder en el monitoreo y análisis de medios, en su estrategia de inserción de responsabilidad social empresarial (RSE), se convirtió en una de las empresas colaboradoras de esta ONG que busca canalizar la información sobre situaciones de emergencias para ayudar en la protección de la vida de personas a lo largo del país.

SISTEMA DE MONITOREO DE TWEETS GEOLOCALIZADOS

Cada 30 segundos nuestros robot están detectando lostweets generados al ocurrir sismos, terremotos u otrasemergencias directamente de la zona que afecta en elmomento a los ciudadanos. Estos tweets geolocalizadosnos permiten detectar el lugar mismo de los hechos asegundos de ocurrido y generan una alerta inmediataque va llegando a los correos de la Red Nacional deEmergencia, asimismo va alimentando minuto a minutola región en el mapa con las alertas que se identificancon colores: condición rojo es lo que está ocurriendo ypermanece así por tres horas, posteriormente pasa acondición naranja que es lo que ha ocurrido durante elpresente día y condición azul que es lo acumulado laúltima semana
