FACT SHEETOVERVIEW:Dolores Canning Co. Inc is based out of Los Angeles, CA and specializes in making the famous all beef and chicken Chili Brick®. Originally a distributor of beef and pork products, the family-owned manufacturer/distributor has since become well-known in grocery stores, distribution companies and restaurants for the famous Chili Brick®. The first brick was distributed in 1974. Both of Dolores’ all-beef and chicken bricks are sold by major grocery chains, countless independents and food distributors throughout the Western United States. It is also distributed sporadically on the East Coast and globally. The Chili Brick® is also the base for many restaurants’ beef chili, including the famous Philippe the Original in Downtown L.A.

Chili Brick® and Chicken Chili Brick® are sold in 5-pound and 20-ounce trays in the meat department or behind freezer doors in chain and independent grocers, and in foodservice retailers such as Smart & Final and Restaurant Depot.
Both are prepared at Dolores Canning’s East Los Angeles USDA-inspected facility and are shipped out to local grocers, foodservice retailers and Distributors connect Chili Brick® with restaurants and more independent grocers throughout the Western United States. Restaurants such as Philippe the Original in Downtown LA use Chili Brick® as the base of their chili, which they serve daily by the cup or bowl.
