    His debut was not a good start: he only made18 runs in the first inning and 1 in the second.

    Therefore he was dropped for the next test match, but was selected again for the third test match. Inthird test match, he scored 79 in the first inning andhis first test century, 112, in the second inning. After

    this test match his career started marching ahead andhe was never dropped from the Australian teamagain.
