E L xcess Levy & evy Lid Liſt ree Rivers Hospital is running 2 levies for the public to vote on in November 2015. e first is a Levy Lid Liſt, and the second is an Excess Levy. With voter approval, the revenue from each levy will be used to permit the Hospital to develop and expand healthcare facil- ities and services, as well as some much needed maintenance, and capital expenses. What is a Levy Lid Liſt? With the current Levy in place, property owners in the district are paying $0.63 per $1,000 of assessed value (or $63 per $100,000). e Levy Lid Liſt would increase your taxes to $0.75 per $1,000 (or $75 per $100,000). In this scenario, you would see an increase of just $12 on your 2016 taxes. What is an Excess Levy? e Hospital is asking the tax payers to authorize a tax levy to be made in 2015 for collection in 2016 on all taxable prop- erty within the District. e tax would be $1 per $1,000 of assessed value (or $100 per $100,000). is is a one-time tax that would only be paid in the year 2016. In 2017 the Excess Levy Tax will expire. Financial Forecast In September 2015 our registered warrants were $1.56M, which is down significant- ly from the nearly $2M just months ago. With implementations of efficiency programs like LEAN, elimination of low utility services, and improved technology we are on track for a budgeted net profit in 2015. It is the goal of our Administration and staff to have warrants paid off by December of 2016. Even with increased revenues, and paying down our debts, we face critical needs that cannot be met without addi- tional revenue from the Excess Levy and Levy Lid Liſt. ree Rivers Hospital provides essential medical and wellness services for individ- uals and families of all ages to Okanogan and Douglas County residents and visi- tors.
