local artists and historians. Allow for

lectures/presentations or small music/theater

performances.

• New library will have adequate shelfspace and room to grow

• Interior and exterior bathrooms

• Expanded seating, for work and computerareas and comfortable reading by the hearth

• New computer and technology spaces;Expanded community areas and meetingrooms

• Indoor and outdoor space for programing

• Expanded storage for ongoing book sale,children’s activities and crafts

• Adequate delivery and work space

• Children’s area for group events, readingwith grandparents. Space for concerts,book clubs, gaming etc.

• Business resource room for copies, fax,scanners, wireless printers and 3D printers

• Current shelf space is crowded

• Bathrooms not open on weekends andevenings

• Inadequate seating

• No place to socialize when library is closed

• Inadequate space for programing

• No library space to store books for sale andother program materials - some suppliesstored in private homes

• Delivery difficulties: No staging area,resulting in clogged aisles and counter tops

• Lack of available space results in fewerprogramming opportunities

• No copying, scanning or faxingavailability

Fran is a aide that cares for and does activities for dementia patients. Weekly she comes in and talks to Holly about what children picture books would be best for her patients. She says that the library is just a great resource for her job.

The library and communal area will be open to residents and vacationers for business or pleasure. Many of the areas will overlap creating spaces for multi-purpose use.
