and python, conducting data quality checks, producing discrepancy reports, data entry,
importing, management and cleaning, merging and appending data sets, manipulate data and
summary reports, producing visualization elements
Data analysis: implementing statistical procedures, parametric statistical methods, non‐
parametric statistical methods, mathematical and econometric modelling, longitudinal analysis,
survival analysis and joint modelling. Producing data visualization tools such as Dashboards,
plots, pie and bar charts and info‐ graphics. I am proficient in Stata, Python, R, SAS, Excel and
SPSS (Analysis), Excel, PowerBI and Tableau (Visualization)

Current interests:
Statistical Computing and Data Science: Use of Machine learning and predictive to improve
analytics and deliver faster results (R programming, python and integration with QGIS). Just
completed a Udacity Data Science Course.
Mentorship in Statistics: Bridging the gap between experienced and seasoned statisticians and
budding statisticians to ensure that the future of statistics in Africa (especially Kenya) is full of
skilled and experienced statisticians

Project Tile: An algorithm for data reconstruction using published articles; an application on
insect life tables (currently under Review for publishing).
For my masters project, I extensively studied types of life tables, the type of data collected for
life tables, the structure of life data, models used on insect life tables, models used to describe
the various developmental stages of insects in order to develop an algorithm used to
reconstruct incomplete insect life tables given outputs and sample sizes. The algorithm, once
published, is to be used in ILCYM, a program that used insect life tables and uses models fitted
to predict occurrence of insect pests. The algorithm is written in R programming.
