• She was best known for her depression – era work for the Farm Security Administration.

• With the onset of the Great Depression, Lange turned her camera lens from the studio to the street.

Lange’s intention

Lange’s 1976, Migrant Mother. Migrant Mother• I think that in this picture her

intention was to show how things are difficult with poverty in the world. How a mother of three children is not sure about the future, but the present.By the look in the mother’s eyes you can see the her hope is almost gone but by the way she holds the infant and by the way her kids are close to her you can feel that it’s not over yet.
