DOSSIER
Dossier is comprised of table desks and runoffs, credenzas, pedestals, cabinets and a broad offering of upper
storage. Overhead cabinets integrate with open bookshelves for easy access to papers, books and other
materials. A 12-inch-deep option is ideal for narrower offices and can accommodate a large flat-screen monitor
to support shared review of information. Large freestanding tables offer a convenient place to meet with
clients or colleagues. ¶ While the executive office is still considered an essentially private space, it has also
become a place where people gather to converse with minimal interruption or distraction. Freestanding table
desks, open-ended runoffs, guest chairs or low credenzas with cushion tops help to support such collaboration.
Dossier is also suitable for conference rooms or boardrooms adjacent to the private office.
CONCEPT The private office, long a distinguishing feature of the corporate world, is evolving into a
new kind of space in the information economy. Today’s private office is more flexible, more adaptable
and more accessible, responding to changing demographics, new technologies and a new emphasis
on collaboration and enterprise performance. ¶ Dossier™ is classic casegoods furniture with a clean
architectural look and all of the flexibility desired in today’s executive office. Layered surfaces and
upper storage combine in multiple ways to meet user needs and spatial constraints. Low storage
doubles as bench seating for visitors. Technology support is fully integrated into furniture design.
Fine materials and refined details offer an aesthetic of quiet elegance.
DOSSIER
COLLECTION Dossier echoes the crisp linearity of mid-century modern furniture, but also offers
aesthetic variations achieved through a choice of finish, materials and scale. A desk with a lighter
finish, nickel-plated frame and slim ½-inch wood top looks fresh and contemporary. A deeper finish
and 1½-inch top offer a more substantial appearance. Both are fitted with fine nickel-plated pulls
that accent the architectural elegance of the Dossier collection. ¶ Dossier is designed to integrate
easily with office architecture and Teknion® products, including District® furniture and Optos® and
Altos® architectural wall systems. ¶ CHOICE An appealing material palette includes beautifully finished
quarter-cut veneers accented with satin nickel details. Grain orientation can be vertical or horizontal.
Additional options include: back-painted glass for overhead storage doors, magnetic back-painted glass for
wall panels, leather inserts on desks, and glass or solid surface for the wall panel shelf and accessory-cabinet
shelf. Tackable wall panels are also available. ¶ CONNECTION Today’s executive may make use of a laptop,
a computer with large or multiple monitors, an iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry or other digital work tools and
thus requires an integrated approach to technology support. Dossier supports a rich technology platform
providing access to power and communications through all furniture tops, as well as ready access to wall
outlets and built-in space for wire management and delivery.
