Our objective:Share the values of the andalusí culture and obtain an education that improves health with the promotion of natural habits through nutrition, mindfulness, natural cosmetics and perfumery, and the culinary and therapeutic use of plants.

Al-Huerta
Centro educacional de la cultura andalusí
Al-Huerta es un centro medioambiental de interpretación de la Naturaleza y vinculación con la salud inspirado en las tradiciones milenarias agrícolas de Andalucía, con un área de dinamización y difusión mediante actividades, talle-res y seminarios basados en la Alquimia Andalusí.
Estamos creando un huerto alquímico 100% ecológico donde conviven plantas hortícolas, alquímicas y medicinales, donde conectar con las energías sutiles de las plantas y la geometría sagrada de su diseño.
Desarrollamos técnicas como la destilación y creación de perfumes, esencias, cosmética natural, transformamos las plantas medicinales en preparados alquí-micos.
Al-Huerta
Educational center of the andalusí’s culture
Al-Huerta is an environmental center of interpretation of Nature and link with health inspired by the thousand-year-old agricultural traditions of Andalusia, with an area of dynamization and diffusion by means of activities, workshops and seminars based on the Andalusí Alchemy.
We are creating a 100% ecological alchemical garden where horticultural, alchemical and medicinal plants coexist, where you can connect with the subtle energies of plants and the sacred geometry of their design.
We develop technologies such as distillation and creation of perfumes, essences, natural cosmetics, we transform medicinal plants into alchemic preparations.
El Paseo del Alquimista
Entramos a nuestra fi nca de naranjos y limones ecológicos (foto 1) atravesando nuestro corredor verde (foto 2) donde conviven plantas aromáticas y medicinales, explicando para que son utilizadas en cosmética, perfumería y medicina natural (foto 3).
Pasamos a nuestra sala de proyecciones donde podrán ver un vídeo explicativo del origen del cultivo de cítricos en Andalucía, las diferentes técnicas agrarias que se practican en nuestros árboles y los diferentes productos que obtenemos de ellos (foto 4).

The Alchemist’s Tour
We will enter our oranges and lemons organic farm (picture 1) crossing our green corridor (picture 2) where aromatic and medicinal plants coexist, explaining how they are used in cosmetics, perfumery and natural medicine (picture 3).
Then we will go to our proyection room where you will see an explanatory video of the origin of citrus farming in Andalusia, the different agricultural techniques practiced on our trees and the different products we obtain from them (picture 4).

El Paseo del Alquimista
Comenzamos el paseo por nuestra fi nca donde iremos viendo las diferentes variedades de cítricos que se encuentran en ella (naranjas, limones, pomelos, mandarinas…) y plantas silvestres tanto aromáticas como medicinales que crecen espontáneamente entre nuestros árboles, explicaremos la diferencia entre cultivo químico y ecológico.
Siguiendo nuestro paseo observaremos otros árboles medicinales autóctonos como la encina, álamo, acebuche, algarrobo... y otros frutales como mangos y aguacates.
Pasearemos por nuestro huerto alquímico (foto 5) donde podréis ver las diferentes plantas ornamentales, medicinales y comestibles de las cuales sacamos sus principios activos para la elaboración de nuestra cosmética natural y los semilleros de nuestro invernadero que nos sirven para la selección de las mejores especies vegetales. Destacaremos el uso medicinal de las setas cultivadas en nuestros troncos de madera.
De vuelta a nuestras instalaciones, pasaremos a nuestro mirador (fotos 6 y 7) donde desgustaremos un sabroso desayuno andaluz de producción ecológica.
Después pasaremos a nuestro taller del alquimista (foto 8) donde realizaremos una destilación en alambique (foto 9) y disfrutaremos de un recorrido olfativo por los aromas de Al-Andalus (foto 10).
En nuestra boutique podrán encontrar los diferentes productos que ofrecemos de Al-huerta: aceites esenciales de lavanda, naranja, limón, mandarina, romero… agua de azahar, jabones de naranja y limón, miel de azahar… (foto 11).

The Alchemist’s Tour
We will start the tour through our farm where we will see the diff erent varieties of citrus available (oranges, lemons, grapefruits, tangerines ...) and both aromatic and medicinal wild plants that grow spontaneously among our trees, we will explain the difference between chemical cultivation and ecological.
Following our tour we will observe other autochthonous medicinal trees such as oak, poplar, wild olive, carob ... and other fruit trees such as mangoes and avocados.
We will take a stroll around our alchemical garden (picture 5), where you will see the different ornamental, medicinal, and edible plants we use to extract the active ingredients used in our natural cosmetics, and the seedbeds in our greenhouse that allow us to select the best plant species. We will point out the medicinal use of the fungi cultivated on our tree trunks.
Back to our facilities, we will go to our viewpoint (pictures 6 and 7) where we will enjoy a tasty Andalusian breakfast of organic production.
Then we will go to our alchemist’s workshop (picture 8) where we will make a still in distillation (picture 9) and enjoy an olfactory tour through the aromas of Al-Andalus (picture 10).
In our boutique you will fi nd the different products we offer from Al-huerta: essential oils of lavender, orange, lemon, tangerine, rosemary ... orange blossom water, orange and lemon soaps, orange blossom honey ... (picture 11).

Volver a disfrutar de los Perfumes andalusíes
El mundo arábigo - andalusí era una sociedad donde la sensualidad jugaba un importante papel, la poesía, la música, el baile y el cuidado del cuerpo eran de suma importancia.
Con la llegada del Islam a nuestra Península, se trae del Oriente mediterráneo y de Asia nuevas especies y variedades botánicas desconocidas hasta la época, que se convirtieron en elementos imprescindibles para el cuidado higiénico de los andalusíes, entre ellos el pomelo, el incienso, el sándalo, la mirra, el benjuí y la canela.
En los baños o Hammam, no sólo se higienizaba la piel con jabones perfumados, también se perfumaba la piel con aceites vegetales a los que se añadía aceites esenciales extraídos por destilación en el alambique.
En Al-Huerta proponemos estimular nuestros sentidos con los perfumes de la época, y volver a disfrutar de la cosmética natural andalusí. Desarrollamos nuestra propia gama de productos cosméticos y de perfumería según la tradición andalusí.
Enjoying again the andalusíes Perfumes
The arabic - andalusí world was a society where the sensuality was playing an important role, and where poetry, music, dance and body care were supremely important.
With the arrival of the Islam to our Peninsula, were brought from Mediterranean East and Asia new species and botanical varieties unknown before, which became indispensable elements for the hygienic care of the andalusíes, such as grapefruit, incense, sandalwood, myrrh, benjuí and cinnamon.
In the baths or Hammam, not only the skin was cleaned by perfumed soaps, but it was also perfumed by vegetal oils to which were added essential oils extracted by distillation in the alembic.
In Al-Huerta we propose to stimulate our senses with the perfumes of that time, and to enjoy again the andalusí natural cosmetics. We develop our own range of cosmetic and perfumery products according to the andalusí’s tradition.
