Information Systems Management Double Degree Master Objectives The aims of the course are to: Develop the understanding of the strategic benefits in successfully implementing information systems, the process of strategic planning and the evaluation of business needs. Develop the project management and capital budgeting skills to enable activity, program and project costing, control and evaluation. Develop an appreciation of the impact and management of change caused by the introduction of information systems. Develop the ability to manage, advise and participate in the development and application of information resources and the ability to manage changes towards the strategic renewal of business based on the application of information technology and the restructuring of business processes. Target Audience The course targets graduates in management, engineering, economics, marketing, information management, and professionals in the fields of information technologies, network and computer systems administration and database administration, among others, who are willing to acquire additional Information Systems Management skills to applying them in their respective professional area. Further InformationTuition Fees

The tuition fees of this master is 4.470€, of which the student have to pay directly to each university the following values:

2.400€ to ISEGI-NOVA: 1.600€ (for the frequency in the 1st semester) + 800€ (for the frequency in the 3rd semester – thesis);

2.070€ to FELU: 1.380€ (for the frequency in the 2nd semester) + 690€ (for the frequency in the 3rd semester – thesis).

Degree ObtainedAfter fulfilling all their obligations the student obtains a master’s double degree from both universities. The institutions award the following titles:

M.Sc. in Information Management by Instituto Superior de Estatística e Gestão de Informação, Universidade Nova de Lisboa;

Business Informatics Master by Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.*

*Please note that to obtain the FELU master's degree, the total ECTS of the Bachelor's and the double degree should be 300 ECTS. In case the total sum of the credits of the Bachelor's and EMSISM is less than 300 ECTS, the FELU course director and the student will together decide about the additional workload (courses, research seminars etc.) from the Master in Business Informatics programme that will enable the student to collect the missing ECTS.

Application and Stages of the Selection ProcessApplications are online, in ISEGI-NOVA’s Applications Portal (www.isegi.unl.pt/candidaturas) until July 18th.

The selection process is performed based on the analysis of the academic and professional curriculum and in an interview made to the candidates.

Study Program for the Path Starting in ISEGI-NOVAThe course has three semesters. The master thesis will be developed in one of the universities involved, always with conjoint supervision of Professors from the two institutions.
