Bonafide Images:We see this individual wearing a black top on a black background now this works really we because the way that the top and the background compliments each other really makes this sort of underground but professional look. The photo has been taken from a low angle which makes the subject much larger to the user and really shows off he credibility in the music industry.

Layout:The way that this magazine is laid out is a very clean and simple look, all the text has been divided with white lines that look fantastic on the think black background. This makes it much easier to go through the text and be able to understand what they are going on about. They have really thought about how the user will navigate the space and read the information.

House Style:Now with Bonafide we see the house style of the heading with the category of the page and the website address shows up on every page sort of as a all around area where you can tell what you are reading. This really pushes that continues house style that we can see in the whole of this double page spread. Also things like the clean way that the text is being divided with those white line runs with the same heading technique that we see on all of the pages.

Conclude:Bonafide really likes to play convention because of the way they layout the magazine, it really make the reading experience a lot different to any other magazine because of the way it utilises all the information that is being displayed on the page. Overall we see that although it challenges convention it almost makes its own.

Louder Than WarImages:The images of this double page spread is a old picture of the band swans, I really like the way that some DPS uses old photos of the bands because it can show the age of who they are. This can create and connection to the person reading depending on the knowledge of the band they are seeing. The photo is obviously candid but this make it much more revealing to use because it shows this band true form and doesn’t hides us.

Layout:The layout of the DPS is really quite simple, we see they have use colours that compliment the black and white picture and all the text has been boxed in by a white box that travels around the page. They have highlighted essential information with grey borders which draw your eye to it much more.

House Style:Throughout that magazine you do see a lot of different styles popping up so the house style can never be as clear as you want it to be. But the thing that is most noticeable about the house style is the way that they use small headers in the top left hand corner of the page this just give a simple reminder of where you are in the magazine, this does come up regularly in the piece. That is why although the house style isn't very clear it is still clear what they are trying to do.

Conclude:This magazine really follows the convention of everyday magazine but it also has its own minimalist twists that we like to see in the normal magazine we pick up. That could be down to the way the running head is very clear and bold to the reader and other things like the way they use a large drop cap these feature are still here but L.T.W still puts its own twist on the way they do it.

Sound on SoundImages:Now in this page we do see a lot more images from the other ones we have analysed previously but in the main image we see the three individuals sitting in front of there work station. The phot isn't really that fancy but by looking in and seeing that, what S.O.S is trying to do is strip back all the things you hear about the celebrity and then talk about how they do it not who they are.

Layout:This layout is probably the most conventional out of all the magazine we have looked at, we see a large running head and all the information is plotted around the page. But what I will say is the way that they try to not waist any white space really makes the page seem full and you appreciate the about of information and effort we see.

House Style:The way that Sound on Sound make sure that their house style is shown throughout their magazine is using large heading over the top of the page, this shows the S.O.S logo and the category of the article you are reading. This is a very simple but effective way of running the house style through the mag. Also they use the same information on the bottom of the page which contains the website address and the page number and all of these feature use the same fonts and colour throughout the whole piece

Conclude:Overall Sound on Sound is really good at making that connection the convention of magazines, we see this because of the way they layout the page and the picture that are contained inside it, this makes the whole experience of the magazine but easier for the read because if that person has picked up a mag before they will recognise the way that it is run and how the user will use it.
