Suprising new star knocks the likes of Rihanna and The Black Eyed Peas off the top spot SUPRISING NEW NUMBER 1 STAR New star Matt Cardle has shocked many people by storming to top spot with his debut single “When we Col- lide” which was originally sang by famous rock star Biffy Clyro. The song also achieved record sales and was the second biggest single sales in the UK. Essex born Matt Cardle first appeared on our screens on X-factor singing “You know I’m no good” who survived his auditions and went on and reached all the way to the finals after being mentored by Dannii Minogue and was announced winner of Series 7 on 12th December 2010 after receiving 44.6% of the votes. Since then he has also achieved a nominations at this year’s Brit Awards for Best British Single ans Best Newcommer of 2010. He has also achieved the Christmas Number 1 despite there being major competi- tion for the top spot following various groups on facebook promoting other songs and he has also achieved the top spot in the Irish Charts for four consecutive weeks. He is also expected to represent Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest later this year in hope of adding more success to his young musical career. Matt had first entered the music business when he became the front man and lead guitarist of the band “The Seven Summers” Cardle is also tipped to be working on a new single which features Bruno Mars on a track based on Matt’s illness Wilms Tumour which he had recovered from after a kidney operation and past childhood. He is also hoping to achieve more success in the media and is aiming to reach the top spot and become well known all over the world. He has al- ready achieved a popular wide spread fan base who often comment on his official website and he is hoping to attract major fan bases all over the world.
