Video interviews

Logic interview: http://youtu.be/8mXi5UWey54

This is a video with one of the newest artists of Hip Hop Jazz called Logic. In this interview he explains what he just bought from a local record shop and "what's in his bag?" Here he doesn't only speak about music alone, as he starts off by talking about  to show called "community" and then goes to talk about music that he purchased and what inspired him about that certain music album and what experiences he had with some of those artists. He also spoke about some of the tours that he had previously done. So in this interview there were many different things that were spoken about which shows that when doing creating my own artist interview I have to no only speak about the music that was created as I should also talk about inspiration, other artists and other things about the media.

Chance the Rapper: http://youtu.be/_k8CbjkUxak This interview is by a popular interviewer called Nardwaur who is known for being crazy whilst taking to maiming Hip Hop artists. In this interview he speaks with Chance the Rapper who is a Hip Hop Jazz artist and he speaks to him about various crazy topics as even starts off the interview asking if he had any land. So through this interview I learnt how questions that are asked don't need to be always directly related to music but some how the point always comes back to it. It also showed how the interview doesn't just have to be boring questions as that may not interest the reader but it could be fun. This would also set apart other interviews as this one would be different from the generic ones.

A Tribe Called Quest: http://youtu.be/riRaswARihE

This interview is of a Tribe Called Quest but after many years front when they started. And in this is interview they talk about the beginnings of how they came together to form the group that are so well known today. They also talk about current Hip Hop Jazz artists like Joey Bada$$ which is interesting as it shows that they know about artists today. Also they talk about what's going to happen next  which is good as it lets the audience know more and gives them an insight of the artist's future. Also they still try and keep it fun but to the point as they add clips of their music videos and songs in the background to make the interview interesting. This interview is talking about mainly just music so it gives me an insight into what questions I should ask in my double page spread interview.

Written interviews

Joey Bada$$ interview: http://observer.com/2015/03/joey-bada-interview-resurrecting-the-golden-age-of-brooklyn-hip-hop/This interview is front the observer and it is about a Hip Hop Jazz artists called Joey Bada$$. In this interview it starts off by setting the scene of where the interview took place and what Joey was doing naturally before the interview started. Whilst reading the interview you can tell that it's not just written as a question answer thing as it's written like a story of the events that happened and what he said. This is a nice and intriguing way of writing the interview as it different and not boring. The interviewer asked about his music and upcoming plans but also takes about other things about Joey that weren't particularly music related. This gave me an insight into what written interviews are like and what I should include in my interview.

Kendrick Lamar interview: http://www.npr.org/2015/12/29/461129966/kendrick-lamar-i-cant-change-the-world-until-i-change-myself-firstThis interview is of very famous Hip Hop Jazz

artist Kendrick Lamar. The beginning of the article gives a short insight into what Kendrick is known for and what he has being doing lately like by talking about his newest album To Pimp a Butterfly. Later it goes to talk about how his music has such deep maws sages and shows how the genre can be very serious at times and it can also be fun. It speaks about serious issues that are occurring around the world. He also speaks about how he enjoys other artists out there that aren't doing work that goes into as much depth as his as music is supposed to be fun. The interview is written as a story as well which makes the interview flow.

De La Soul interview: http://www.avclub.com/article/de-la-soul-13671

This interview is with one member of the famous group De La Soul, Posdnuos. This interview starts of with a bit of history about the artist and how they got the opportunity to sit down with him. They ask questions like how did he start to rap and talking about future work and current albums of the group. Most of the questions that Were asked were related to music in one or another as it shows the reader that this is a music magazine interview. Also the layout of the magazine is different from the other two that I saw as this isn't as a story,  it is like a question and answer. I think this is the best way to present the interview as it makes it clear to the reader what the question is and the answer. It also makes it easy for the reader to find what they want to in particular for example if they wanted to know a certain detail from one of the questions they could find it by looking at the clearly labelled question and answer.
