The central theme of the project Double Victory (DV) is relevant to all Americans. As American servicemen and women continue to shed their blood in the battles against global terrorism, African-American men and women are once again on the front lines. In their heart they know the reason why their ancestors fought so bravely despite the obvious social injustice. Like all Americans in all wars, Africa-Americans fought a Double Victory.

The story of the Tuskegee Airmen will be the basis for a discussion about the role African American in the Military past, present and future. The DV Townhall series will highlight letters, diaries, speeches, journalistic accounts, historical text, and Congressional and military records to document and acknowledge the sacrifices and accomplishments of African-American service men and women from World War II.

The DV Townhall will provide a structured exchange to examine within a

social cultural and economic context the facts surrounding the

contributions of The Tuskegee Airmen. We will ask the question and

attempt to answer why, despite enormous injustice, these heroic men and

women fought so valiantly for freedoms they themselves did not enjoy

The campaigns goal is to raise public consciousness and shed light on an

extraordinary and relatively unexplored facts about Tuskegee Airmen and

to promote the Red Tails cinematic presentation, scheduled for release,

Jan. 20th 2012. Not affiliated with Lucas Films, or 20th Century Fox dist.

The DV Town hall is a series of events comprised of an on-offline

audience comprised of active duty, retired, and collegiate scholars and

movie fans who will discuss the role of African American in the Military

past, and present. Double Victory will be the featured theme to

engage the panel and the audience in an exchange designed to provide

a call to action for research by all.

The event will moderated by Hill Harper and feature a panel comprised

of the writer, actors , and special guest tba. In addition The Black Box

Office and iPatriots will host a recognition and award program for

America’s Black Patriot's of the past and present to inspire the future.

This event will provide a launch for the Cinematic release Red Tails.

The DV Townhall will also feature video inserts and discussion with some of the surviving members of the Tuskegee Airmen most of whom are now well into their nineties. Interviewees will tell in their own words and voices on chosen theme topics for example:

• Remarks about the current political climate contrasted with the past plus reflections on the historic election of America’s first Black president;

• Reflections on the current Red Tails film and the HBO self-titled movie versus their personal experience during World War II and there activation of 187th Fighter Wing of the Alabama Air National Guard after deactivating its 160th Fighter Squadron and reactivating it as the 100th Fighter Squadron in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen;

• Commentary to a specific part of the current film's )including HBO Tuskegee Airmen and Red Tails or on respective trailers of the same name. • How their legacy has affected their personal family life since the war;

• How do they feel about the length of time it took to be recognized as “war hero’s.

When: Veterans Day through Black History Month (ONLINE)

Where: Museums, College Universities, Cinema-Plex Theaters (OFFLINE)

Event Description: DV Townhall & Reception is by invitation only

Refreshments: Hosted gourmet hors d'oeuvres and premium bar

Demo: Educators, historians, and press, celebrities, VIPs, entertainment industry executives and influencers

Timing is critical to take advantage of the Fox studio PR machine of Red Tails and the HBO Blu-Ray release of “Tuskegee Airmen.”

•  Leverage existing outreach for VA & DOD through a network of national

programs for adult education DV content will be edited for classroom use

•  Provide outline to assist facilitator/recruiter in leading a discussion on DV

•  Create lesson plan for teachers to incorporate DV content with current

curriculum

•  Link the sponsor to DV Townhall and recognition of America’s Black Patriots

•  Establish a reservoir of DV content which can be searched and downloaded

•  Community centering points for stories and related content (Smithsonian)

•  Encourage building an electronic community DV followers and interested

parties
