1. SETTING OUT
THE SETTING OUT AND THE ELEVATIONS OF THE DIFFERENT COMPONENTS OF THE STRUCTURE SHALL BE APPROVED BY THEENGINEER PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY CONSTRUCTION WORK.
2. REINFORCED CONCRETE
2.1 CONCRETE MIX AND PLACING
2.1.1 DESIGN CONCRETE MIX SHALL MEET THE DESIGNCONCRETE STRENGTH GIVEN UNDER ITEM 1 OFMATERIALS
2.1.2 CONCRETE SHALL BE DEPOSITED, VIBRATED ANDCURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS.
2.1.3 FOR CONCRETE DEPOSITED AGAINST THE GROUND.LEAN CONCRETE WITH MINIMUM THICKNESS OF 100mm SHALL BE LAID FIRST BEFORE INSTALLING THEREINFORCEMENT. THIS LEAN CONCRETE SHALL NOTCONSIDERED IN MEASURING THE STRUCTURALDEPTH OF CONCRETE SECTION.
2.1.4 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT TO THE ENGINEERFOR APPROVAL PLACING SEQUENCE FOR ALLCONCRETE WORK.
2.2 BAR BENDING, SPLICING, AND PLACING
2.2.1 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT TO THE ENGINEERFOR APPROVAL OF SHOP DRAWINGS INDICATING THEBENDING, CUTTING, SPLICING AND INSTALLATION OFALL REINFORCING BARS.
2.2.2 BARS SHALL BE BENT COLD. BARS PARTIALLYEMBEDDED IN CONCRETE SHALL NOT FIELD BENTUNLESS PERMITTED BY THE ENGINEER.
2.2.3 BAR SPLICING SHALL BE INDICATED IN THE DRAWINGS. SPLICES NOT INDICATED ON DRAWINGSSHALL USED THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM SPLICING:
