You have informed your iDoc administrator of your title selections and MedHand has set these up for you.
Now all you have to do is download the MedHand Mobile Libraries and log in with your iDoc details (see the next slides)

To enable easy-access to everyone, new and ongoing MedHand users, we have set up one institutional password for everyone.
The password is: idocapp (all lower case)
New users: simply download the App and log into the app with the email address you have given to your iDoc administrator password idocapp. See slides 9-17.
If you have used MedHand (iDoc) before:>>If you have an old MedHand account you need to use your old MedHand Password.>> If you cannot remember your old password, you need to re-set your login details, which is very easy. The next two slides show you how to do this.

Downloading MedHand Mobile Libraries App iOS and AndroidNow all you need to do is download the MedHand mobile Libraries App and log in!Go to the App store (itunes) or Google Play Download the MedHand Mobile Libraries App.Log into the App (do NOT register):

Installing MedHand Mobile LibrariesOpen the MedHand Mobile Libraries App on your device. Tap “Refresh”

Installing MedHand Mobile Libraries: always say “YES”:
Say “Yes” to any question that pops up, including“Purchase Restore:” this means restore the titles that are set up in your account (i.e. the titles your institution has paid for).You will be told that you are not logged in and asked whether you want to log into the “MedHandBook Store”. Tap “Yes”.

• Enter your MedHand login details (institutional email address and password idocapp )
• Click on ‘Login’. (Do NOT click on Register. You are already registered).
• The App will start downloading your books (on Android: tap the green download button)
• After it’s complete, tap “Done” on iOS and go to “Local” on Android. Your downloaded books will be there.

Log into www.medhand.com – you can do this on a PC, Laptop or your mobile. When accessing this site on your mobile, please view it in landscape format.

Click on Login and enter the email address you have given your iDoc administrator and the institutional password idocapp .

Once you are logged in, click/tap on “My Account”

Looking at your account you will see under “My Books” any books you have purchased yourself.Under “Institutional Books” you will see the titles your Institution has assigned to you. Now scroll down.

Upon scrolling down you see a title list – the “Institutional Books Avaiable for Selection”
You can select 3 titles
You can swap these titles once.Enter key title
words into the quick selector to quickly choose a title. You can also scroll down the list.

The title selection is a shopping cart process –but it is free because your institution has already paid for the titles you are selecting.
You must select all 3 titles before you move on to the shopping cart and can check out.
As you select titles number 1 and two a notification in green tells you what you have selected, and the selected title appears in the list as “already selected”

Once you have selected all 3 titles you are moved into the shopping cart. You can see your 3 choices and that the total is zero. Please click/tap checkout now.

You will now see an Order Confirmation (the total is once again zero). This means that the selected titles have now been added to your account.

If you click/tap on “My Account,” you will see the your title selections have been added to your account under “Selected Institutional Books”:
To select another 3 titles, simply tap the re-selection button, and then repeat the process.

1) If you have not yet downloaded the App – follow the steps in slides 7-10
2) If you have downloaded the App, accessed the pre-set titles and have now selected your 3 additional titles: you need to “refresh purchases”:
On iOS: Click “refresh purchase” and say “yes” to downloading additional purchases - the additional titles will now load.
On Android - whilst on the local tab, click on the shopping cart icon at the top of the screen and say “yes” to downloading additional purchases. The titles will show up in the Store tab - click “download” to download them to your device.
