To Know the scholarly communication trend
To find out the scholarly productivity of faculty members of the medical colleges of Assam
Methods:Survey through structured questionnaire
distributed among 150 number of faculty members, 98 questionnaires received ;and data are tabulated; and analysed using SPSS 16.0.
Analysis of Pubmed Central to know the productivity of the faculty.

Impact Factor is an important area of concern for majority(79.59%) for journal selection
A DC value of 0.939, shows that multiple authored articles occupy the prominent position.
Microbiology was found to be the most productive department.
Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research with 14.17 % is the top ranked journal in the survey.
