• Configuring the R380s for WAP To use the WAP protocol for content exchange between a server delivering WML(S)-formatted content and the R380s, the WAP browser has to know the setting for a so-called proxy, i.e. a program on a computer transforming HTTP to WAP and vice versa. You have to enter approximately 25 parameters located in 3 different system menus to make the phone ready for WAP. This is obviously due to the fact that too few R380s phones have been sold in Germany. Otherwise German Telekom would offer the SMS configuration service as it does for many other more common WAP phones. So, here’s the WAP rally (count the ‘clicks’, i.e. red dots ...):
