Objective of Anchoring StrategyMain Objective:• To guide GENUS on its future activities and on being

sustainable i.e. independent of support from the UN Development Account

Approach:

• Uses monitoring and evaluation approach – but not in-depth• Draws from experience provided by similar networks

Maximizing Impact of the Network• GENUS is possibly the only network addressing

energy issues of the urban poor on a global scale

• A network is only as effective as the content it offers to its targeted audience

• Refinement of the existing themes in line with the suggestions provided earlier

• Need to address pressing urban energy issues within a short turnaround timeframe
