1 The Auction takes place due to Peter Archer’s retirement after over 55 years in the building trade in and around the
Sible Hedingham area and provides purchasers with a genuine opportunity to buy good quality, well maintained
builders plant, vehicles, equipment, materials and hand tools.
2 Export: If any lots are to be exported outside the EU, VAT will be charged and retained by the auctioneer until a
Customs Clearance note is secured. The VAT will then be refunded. If confirmation of export is not secured within
8 weeks, the VAT will be paid to the vendor and declared in the normal way. If lots are to be exported within the
EU proof of VAT registration number and confirmation of port for export will be required otherwise VAT will be
charged.
3 Removal of Lots: All moveable equipment not collected on the day of the sale or on Sunday 9th November
between 9am and 5pm must be collected before Saturday 15th November 2014, but buyers must contact Peter
Archer on 07768 012069 or 01787 461325 beforehand to arrange entry to the yard.
All lots will be the purchaser’s responsibility at the fall of the hammer whether paid for or not.

6 Number Bidding: All prospective purchasers must complete the form attached and register in the office on the
viewing day or morning of the sale to receive a number for bidding. PLEASE COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION
FORM BEFORE COMING TO THE SALE AND BRING IT TO THE SALE OFFICE AS THIS WILL SAVE
TIME.
7 Payment: If purchasers wish to pay by cheque and are not well known to the Auctioneer, then no lot will be
removed from the site until the cheque has cleared or without a suitable bank reference addressed to the Auctioneer
prior to the sale.
Payment can be made Credit/Debit Card, but please note there will be a 2.5% charge for Credit Card
payments, but no charge for Debit Cards.
8 Vehicle Documents, Hours and Mileage: Are as at the time of cataloguing. V5 documents (provided where
available) will only be supplied after clearance of cheques or other payments.
9 Lot Measurements: Measurements and quantities are approximate and buyers are advised to check them where
appropriate before purchase.
