Ms. Guillemette gave a brief description to the board members of both the written and clinical portion of the Prometric examination. Ms. Lawson addressed questions and concerns from board members. Dr. Newman opened discussion to the public to express questions and concerns, which Ms. Lawson further addressed. A motion was made by Newman to amend Rule 64B9-15.008(3) to include the specific score of 78% as well as adding the language “equating for subsequent forms”. Motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Newman to acknowledge that the proposed amendment would not have an adverse effect on small businesses or likely directly or indirectly increase regulatory costs to any entity including government in excess of $200,000 in the aggregate in Florida within one year after the implementation of the rule. Dr. Hubbard informed the board that she attended the APRN conference and gave a brief update on that.
Ms. Johnson informed the board that she gave a presentation at the Collier County Nurses Association this past March. She will later attend the NCLEX meeting in Chicago.
Dr. Glymph attended the mid-year NCSBN meeting in Salt Lake City. He informed the board of the detailed discussion they had on opioids. They also discussed the APRN

Ms. Desmond also attended the mid-year NCSBN meeting in Salt Lake City and informed the board that they discussed some legislation updates that are happening in Florida.
Ms. Forst also attended the mid-year NCSBN meeting and thanked the Board for allowing her to participate.

2. Joint Meeting, June 2, 2017 - Boards of Nursing, Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, State Surgeon General. Mr. Baker requested for three Board Members to attend the Joint Meeting. Dr. Hubbard, Ms. Whitson, and Dr. Glymph all agreed to attend.
3. 2018 Proposed Board Meeting Dates- A motion was made by Newman to approve the proposed dates. Motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Baker officially welcomed DeShari Atkins into her new role as the Regulatory Supervisor over the Administrative/Support Unit and to her first time at a Board Meeting. He informed the Board of the new travel reimbursement update regarding

strict compliance with the Travel Authorization. There is no current update on appointments to the Board but he hopes to have appointments begin again in May after Session. Rosa Ramos represented the Board of Nursing at the meeting on wrong-site surgery and stated it was a very good discussion, which will continue on June 2 in Orlando. Mr. Baker congratulated Ms. Sutton-Johnson on passing her exams for her Doctorate of Public Health program. The Long Range Planning Meeting in June will take place on Friday afternoon. Fees and applications will need to be approved before the Nursing Licensure Compact implementation at the Long Range Planning Meeting. He further in formed the board that only 10 more states are needed to put the Compact into effect. He gave an overview of some other potential topics for discussion at the Long Range Planning Meeting, including: unprofessional conduct rule, potential fee reduction or fee holiday, discussion of the multi-board work-group, PSU presentation on prosecution threshold for determining recommendation on Closing Orders at PCP, and review of any other 2017 legislation for implementation purposes.
Mr. Baker also thanked the Board Members as well as the Board Staff for all of their hard work lately, as they have been inundated with data reports for review/correction, as well as preparing for the Board Meeting.
