Board of Directors began the Master Planning process in 2002:- Evaluate current conditions & identify deferred maintenance items.- Survey member needs & wants.- Consider improvements & new amenities.- Develop Master Plan to address findings.- Obtain preliminary cost estimates

Property surveyed Architectural firm (Noll & Tam) retained to

prepare master plan for club facilities. Consultants retained to inspect facilities:

1960: Original land use permit approved.

1962: Pool & clubhouse constructed.

1966: Lower tennis courts constructed.Membership increased to 250.

1992: Upper tennis courts constructed.

1998: Lower parking lot re-paved.

Major themes from responses:- Improvements desirable- Retain low-key, family orientation- Scenic vistas are key and new

buildings should blend in with“Burton Valley” style

Board believes remodel costs should be spread out over several years.

Board not supportive of major current assessment to finance project.

Club currently has $165,000 cash on hand. Club currently runs a $35,000-50,000 annual

operating surplus.
