The team at your yacht’s base will be responsible for the upkeep of your yacht according to our ongoing maintenance programme. The regular checks and servicing at set intervals include an annual refit comprising full engine and gearbox service, anti-fouling and polish, osmosis and rig checks, teak treatment and much more.

A consistently high level of repeat clients is the key to the success of our business and we can only achieve this by listening and responding to the feedback from our clients. Charter guests, clients and owners are encouraged to appraise the local technical team after each trip, enabling us to keep on top of the minor, but still very important, maintenance issues.

AT THE END OF THE PROGRAMME

In the final year of our agreement we will contact you to discuss your future plans. We do not see the end of your programme as the end of our partnership.

You may wish to collect your yacht, sail her away and continue to use her privately, or we would be delighted if you were to join a growing number of repeat owners who continue the partnership with a new yacht and a renewed programme contract.

Alternatively we can assist you with the sale of your yacht through our brokerage programme. Our brokerage clients choose us because they know that we can accurately represent yachts that have worked in our own fleet. They also appreciate that Dream has the integrity to ensure that the process of title transfer will be handled in a secure and professional manner. We advertise yachts in the major yachting publications of the USA, UK and Europe and attend worldwide boat shows.

A Dream Yacht Charter ownership programme is the most cost-effective way to own the yacht of your dreams. Choose from one of three standard programmes, each tailored to suit different requirements. Whether you are looking for a guaranteed monthly income or to pay a reduced upfront cost, you will have 100% certainty from the outset.

LOCATIONS

Choose a location to suit you, with placement opportunities in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and in our exotic locations including the Indian Ocean, Asia and Pacific Ocean.

DURATION

We offer various options but depending on the yacht location our standard management terms are 60 or 66 months.

STANDARD PURCHASE OPTIONS

Offering you the right boat, in the right location at the right price.

DREAM EASY

This unique contract provides the best value in the industry. You simply make a 35% down payment followed by a balloon payment of 25% of the yacht’s price at the end of the contracted term (usually 5.5 years). No operating costs. No income.

DREAM PARTNERSHIP

You pay between 55–67% of the yacht price, depending on where the yacht is located. Dream funds the balance by retaining the charter income. No operating costs. No income.

Under both the Partnership & Dream Easy payment systems Dream Yacht Charter handles all the yacht paperwork and financing and you receive 100% title ownership at the end of the programme.

GUARANTEED INCOME

The purchase is funded upfront entirely from your own resources (although we can introduce you to leading marine lenders who will be able to support you in the purchase).

Dream will pay you a predetermined fixed monthly income, regardless of how many charter bookings are made on your yacht making it a risk-free investment.

BESPOKE PURCHASE OPTIONS

DREAM ACTIVE

For the ultimate flexibility, our Dream Active programme allows you to purchase and specify your own yacht. Under this programme you pay the operating expenses and in return you receive a generous share of the charter income and the flexibility to sail when and for how long you wish.

OPERATING COSTS

Dream takes care of all berthing, maintenance and insurance. You do not receive a single bill for your yacht’s running costs while she is in our fleet.

YACHT PRICE

Your yacht will be built, commissioned, fully equipped with safety and domestic inventory and delivered to the operating base. All this is included within the original price.

You may be responsible for VAT on the sale price, depending on the yacht’s location and your own status. However, the Dream Easy programme is an excellent way to defer and reduce your VAT commitment, even if your yacht is based in the EU.

You need never cover the same ground twice! You can choose to sail your own yacht or, at no additional cost, use an equivalent model from a Dream operated base anywhere in the world. Some of our owners like to return to their own yacht every holiday, others prefer to try new cruising grounds each time they sail.

The choice is entirely yours. Whether you use your own or an equivalent yacht, your sailing enjoyment is maximised; she will be ready to go on the day you arrive and you simply hand her over to our base team on the day you leave.

Your owner weeks may be booked in advance and the number of weeks you can take each year are determined by the season in which you choose to travel. Additionally you have the opportunity to take extra weeks if you book at short notice.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

There are no owner administration fees for using a Dream yacht. You simply need to cover the costs of travel to your chosen destination, a turnaround fee and any local cruising permits.
