It was 18 before…. During the 1950s-1960s highway fatalities were
ranging around 40,000-55,000 a year
There was not a set drinking age back then, the parents’ decide on it.
College Problems

due to drinking• Bingeing will be an aftermath of lowering the
drinking age to 18.

About the other countries…
• Canada’s legal drinking age is from 18-19, depending on which city.
• Canada has a more strict driving policy of 0.00% BAC.
• Europe’s legal drinking age is 18.
• India’s drinking age is 25!

More closed door frat/sorority parties (unsupervised).
If people can sign up to join the army and serve their country at 18, then they should be able to drink at 18.

educated are more likely to engage in risky driving.
