FIFTY FOR 50Rebuilding homes and
lives for the poorest of the poor in Batey 50
The people who live in the sugarcane village of Batey
50 in the Dominican Republic are the
poorest of the poor.
The goal: build 50 homes for the residents of Batey 50. These homes
will have foundations and be hurricane proof. Each house costs $4,200, and
portions of homes may be donated also. Our volunteer work teams will be involved
in the construction each summer.
Please join us in transforming Batey 50!

At First Baptist, you’re always welcome! We invite you to join us and discover what God is doing locally, nationally, and around the world. Get connected with friendly people and learn more about God’s plan for your life. Our mission is to reach people for Jesus, strengthen their faith, and transform lives through His love. The DR Mission Team is just one of the dynamic ministries of our church. Come join us!
Come join the Wallingford Rotary Club and the DR Mission Team in bringing clean water and healthy meals
to thousands of very poor families in La Romana, DR. For just $75, you can provide a family with a bio-sand water
filter that will last for 20 years. By supporting the “Mandes Cocina” at the Good Samaritan Hospital,
very poor patients at the hospital will be provided with a healthy meal.
The Wallingford Rotary has been helping the poor inLa Romana since 1996 by sponsoring local teenagers on
the mission trip, providing an ambulance, generator, and hospital supplies for the Good Samaritan Hospital,
establishing a pediatric center, and manufacturing and installing over 1,000 water filters in
the homes on the bateyes.

No one should have to go hungryThousands of children in the Dominican Republic won’t eat today . . . or tomorrow. You can help solve the problem of hunger and starvation in one of the poorest areas of the world.
Last summer, our local DR Mission Team was able to bring one month’s worth of food to over 600 hungry families. Please help us reach even more families this summer!
