BRAND PROFILE

/the brand
DROMe is an Italian brand designed by Creative Director Marianna Rosati.
An urban collection of evening and daywear with a minimal approach and a strong sophisticated style that fuses leather and fabrics with elaborated details. A contrast between a new romantic feminine feel and a minimal masculine attitude.
/06
the sensations conveyed in a picture, an emotion, the atmosphere of a place.
The design process for Marianna doesn’t just mean comparing materials and colours, but concerns merging multiple invisible layers;
/07
Each collection of garments, accessories and shoes is created and produced in Florence where the headquarters are located.
The result is not only a product, but a poetic vision that reinvents the notion of classics, with an unrelenting passion for the materials used and the luxurious quality of being made in Italy.

DROMe has a strong connection with Paris, in fact the very first collection was conceived while Marianna was living there, where everything began. Each new season’s collection is presented at Paris Fashion Week, each show being a new unique take on the DROMe world.

The following season the Santacroce partners left their old brand behind and embarked on a new adventure, creating a new uniquely leather based collection with a radically different concept, free of the past influences, where Marianna was positioned as the Creative Director of DROMe.
Marianna has achieved phenomenal success since the launch of her first collection, attracting enthusiastic reviews from the international press and an impressive list of world-wide buyers.
She has lived in Paris, London & Tuscany and continues to travel the world as a source of inspiration and research.
/14THE STORE
/15/the storeIn September 2017 DROMe opened its first store in Milan, within
the heart of fashion district located on Via Santo Spirito.
Designed by Architects Baciocchi Associati, the store communicates an innovative message within the Retail industry, a contemporary concept of a store in-which the space embodies the brand vision itself.
“Minimalism” is the leading element; the lines, the lighting, the materials all join together to create an ideal background for a sophisticated presentation of the collection.
/16
/17
The refined shapes and textures typical of DROMe are reflected everywhere in the store, elements are carefully selected to create a metropolitan and technological environment with a clear reference to a world of understated luxury.
The store was conceived to be a multifunctional space where visitors can discover curated installations from artists collaborating with DROMe.

A journey beneath the surface, deep down into the soul of the DROMe woman and her contradictions. An underwater world made of memories, desires and ambitions where she unveils her secrets and vulnerabilities, a dissonance between her fragilities and strengths, contrasting layers of the same woman.

Creative Director Marianna Rosati took inspiration from a series of portraits by Sicilian photographer Aldo Palazzolo, pictures of women emerging from white backgrounds, captured without filter as fragile and yet powerful creatures.
The Spring Summer 2019 Collection portrays an urban mermaid caught between past and future, disclosing her inner reality through unusual matchings, asymmetric shapes and imperfections.
Three different patterns cross the collection like distinctive times: waves chasing each other on the surface like flowing thoughts, an optical pattern that resembles the depths of the sea, representing the deepness of her inner world, and eventually a wider space that embodies the future, where dreams and aspirations are fulfilled. A combination of colours and graphics mixed together as on a painter’s canvas.
All the prints have been designed in collaboration with German artist Klaus Jurgen Schmidt.
/22
Silhouettes are fluid and sinuous, enveloping the body with drapes and unexpected movements, where details play a key role: gatherings, wrinkles and stripes energise the garments, evoking the divergent sides of her personality.

/24FALL WINTER 2018-19
/25
The DROMe Fall Winter 2018-19 collection portrays a woman who has two souls.
Beneath her refined, elegant and precise appearance hides a daring spirit, an intriguing woman with a provocative attitude and a flamboyant personality. Her glamorous look and sophisticated style is used to disguise a secret, a sense of risk.
The collection is defined by endless contrasts, in materials and shapes.

Oversized shapes are alternated with bold ’90’s inspired apparel: mini-skirts, cropped jackets and tight pants show off a fierce disposition and a determined energy, exposing the body.
The colour palette takes inspiration from the hues of sunset and night, the time of day when the DROMe woman feels more confident and free to express herself. From pure white to more neutral tones of dusty pink, from dark black to military green, with flashes of sky blue and burgundy, the chromatic range is warm and intense.
Distinctive accessories complement the silhouettes: mini patent leather belts emphasise the high waist, micro bags resembling bumbags are tied around the chest like straps, while super long or super short gloves wrap the hands.
The classic décolleté is revised through squared heels and tapered toes, made by python print leather, patent leather and metallic nappa.
