Drug Use by Young People in England in 2010
About the Survey The survey was carried out with 7,296 pupils
aged between 11 and 15 from 246 schools in England.
Are pupils honest? “Since questions about drugs were introduced
in 1998, the questionnaire has asked about Semeron, a fictional drug. In 2010, only 13 pupils (0.2% of the total sample) reported that they had ever taken Semeron; this matches the experience of previous years, and lends support to the view that most pupils do not exaggerate their drug use.”
