The high level of integration and simple configuration of the dSPIN digital control core allow autonomous motion management through advanced positioning and speed commands, reducing required MCU system resources.
A rich set of protection features (thermal, low bus voltage, overcurrent, motor stall) allows the de-sign of fully protected applications, as required by the most demanding motor control applications.
The fast SPI interface, with daisy chain capability, allows a single MCU to control multiple devices.
Integrated non-dissipative current sensing eliminates the need for external shunt resistors (L6470, L6472, L6474, L6480).
The digital control core, together with the innovative Voltage-Mode driving operation, result in a position resolution of up to 128 microsteps and smoother motion (L6470, L6480).
