W e continue to be amazed by how God is blessing our Discipleship University ministry. While many churches have chosen to close their doors on

Sunday evenings, we continue to see our participation grow each semester. As you browse through this catalogue you will notice discipleship opportunities for every age group and every member of your family. Our desire is to reach and develop each of our members to complete spiritual maturity. In doing so we will be able to continue to reach our ultimate goal of “transforming our world with God’s Word…one life at a time.”

Our spring semester begins on January 19, 2014 and concludes on April 6, 2014. The semester will have ten sessions with two weeks off. Classes will not meet on February 2 as we will have our annual Super Bowl Outreach Fellowships in the homes of our members, and then we will take the night off for Spring Break on March 9. All classes will begin at 5:30pm and conclude at 7pm.

Discipleship University also presents us with a great opportunity for fellowship each week. As we kick off our new semester on January 19 we will also have a big Bluegrass Band and Chili Fellowship at 7pm. You will not want to miss this. It’s a perfect way to warm up on a cold winter night! As usual, we will have our cookie fellowships at 7pm each week with entertainment provided periodically by our preschool and children’s choirs.

As you browse through this catalogue you will notice some great new classes offered by some of the most gifted teachers in the state of Texas. We are blessed to have these leaders among us, and I know you will want to register for your class as soon as possible.

of actually going to Israel shapes the way in which one reads the Bible, so

a grasp of these eleven biblical principles will open a new understanding

KILLING JESUS: HOW CAN WE REVIVE THE FULL DEITY AND FULL HUMANITY OF JESUS TODAY?Dr. Harvey SolganickRecently, Bill O’Reilly, the anchor of The O’Reilly Factor, in his book,

Killing Jesus, details the events leading up to the murder of the most

influential man in history: Jesus of Nazareth. Nearly 2,000 years after

this beloved and controversial young revolutionary was brutally killed by

Roman soldiers, more than 2.2 billion human beings attempt to follow His

teachings and believe He is God. Yet, even though Jesus desires more

to come to Him, many still reject His divinity and even His goals for us

as human beings because they do not know Him. In this study, we will

examine the life, character attributes, and misperceptions of Jesus Christ,

forming a “Christology,” centering upon the understanding of Jesus’

essential question, “Who do you say that I am?”



MINOR PROPHETS WITH A MAJOR MESSAGE: A STUDY OF NAHUM, HABAKKUK, AND ZEPHANIAHDr. Matthew McKellerThis study will focus on the prophetic writings of the minor prophets

Nahum, Habakkuk, and Zephaniah. While these three are categorized as

“minor” prophets because of the brevity of their writings in comparison

to major prophets like Jeremiah and Isaiah, there is nothing “minor” about

the message they convey. The aim of this study is to highlight the immense

doctrinal and practical content of these prophetic books which is neglected

all too frequently or is entirely missing in the spiritual diet of believers.

• Why do the righteous suffer?

• Why do the wicked prosper?

• What it means to live by faith

• We become what we worship: The danger of idolatry

• Understanding the day of the Lord

• Hope in the midst of chaos



THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE FAITH ACCORDING TO W. A. CRISWELLDr. James BryantDr. Criswell preached a series of messages under the series Great Doctrines

of the Faith for three years in the early 1980s. These sermons were later

published in eight volumes. That series is out of print, but preserved in

audio and video at www.wacriswell.com. Dr. James Bryant, Distinguished

Senior Professor of Pastoral Theology at Criswell College, will condense

what Dr. Criswell believed, preached, and wrote into one or two doctrines a

week. These seminars will cover the Doctrine of Revelation and Inspiration

(Bibliology), the Doctrine of God (Theology Proper), the Doctrine of Christ
