POLE BOXESThe range of 4 pole boxes is available in 290x275mm and 450x450mm sizes, incorporating integral housings for 114 and 140mm poles and are manufactured frompolyethylene. The pole box provides 450mm depth of cover as standard, extendable if required using modular access boxes as rising sections.

69 DUCTING SYSTEMS

STAKKAbox is a range of patented pre-formed Access Chambers. They are designedfor use both in footway and carriageway installations, where the finished chamberprovides access to underground ducting and/or stoarge equipment. The STAKKAboxprovides a means of constructing chambers quickly and inexpensively, withoutcompromising on build qualtiy.

The STAKKAbox Chamber has a high strength to weight ratio, due to its uniquepatented Twin Wall design with internal and horizontal support ribs. The vertical ribsprovide a high degree of compressive strength that resists the loads applied byvehicles passing over. The continuous horizontal rib offers strong resistance to sideloads from vehicles or ground heave.

All NAL STAKKAbox Access Chambers withstand a minimum vertical load of 40 Tonnes.

*COVERS: CI = Concrete Infill, C = Composite, D = Ductile Iron Grade 500/7, S = Steel** PLEASE NOTE: It is possible to supply many other sizes with the MODULA system. Due to the product makeup any combination of the sidewall pieces can be built into ring sections. These are;100mm, 150mm, 300mm & 375mm. Add any of these lengths, or combination of lengths therein to the 300mm corner dimensions. Example: 300mm (corners) + 100mm + 100mm + 375mm = 875mmside wall (clear opening)

SECURITY COVERSThese covers are designed to sit below thesurface mounted cover and frame (or top covers for buried chambers). Frames arebolted to the STAKKAbox and the bolts areinaccessible once the security plate is inplace. When installed they prevent infiltrationby any unauthorized persons in addition toproviding protection to plant in the chambershould the surface covers be dropped.

DUCT ENTRY ACCESSORIESWhen bringing a duct into the chamber ourBell-mouth or Chamber Entry Connectorsoffer a further level of quality finish. Bellmouths accept ducts from 89mm-110mm inoutside diameter and provice a smooth ductend whilst stopping the duct from pushinginto the chamber and restricting access.

CABLE & EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENTCable & Joint Bearer Brackets are hot-dip galvanised and come in a range of lengths.These simply and quickly bolt on to the internal wall of the chamber where required.

BENEFITS OF USE:

SPEED OF CONSTRUCTIONA STAKKAbox Chamber can be installedin a fraction of the time it takes to install a traditional brick built or concrete sectionchamber.

MANUAL HANDLINGAll STAKKAbox sections fall below the recognised one man weight lifting limit of25kg. Site operatives will therefore neverbe exposed to any manual handling riskswhilst installing the STAKKAbox system.It also means that specialist lifting equipmentis not required on site during installations.

STRENGTHThe vertical rib and twin wall matrix providea high degree of vertical and lateral compressive strength which resists the loadsapplied by vehicles that may pass over thechamber. As a result of its inherent strength,the STAKKAbox does not require concretesurround to obtain structural integrity in footway installations. This patented strengthhas been independently tested to withstandvertical loadings in excess of 40 tonnes.

FLEXIBILITY ON SITEBoth the Modular and Ultima can be adaptedon site to overcome unforeseen services. TheModular Chamber can be easily broken downand rebuilt on site to a different size simply by using a rubber mallet. The Ultima Chambercan be adapted on site with a hand saw.

EXTENSIVE RANGEDue to the design of the STAKKAbox it is possible to obtain many size variations. Non-standard sizes are available on request, however the limiting factor with this is usuallywhether there is also a cover and frame available.

LONG LIFEThe materials we use are not affected by frost,and are resistant to ground acids and alkaline.They are also impervious to chemicals andbrick chambers. The STAKKAbox has below-ground lifespan of in excess of 30years.

RECYCLABLE MATERIALAll materials used in the manufacture of theSTAKKAbox Modula and Ultima range are fullyrecyclable.
