do two wounded soldiers from opposite

sides who the farmers take in.

Jodorowsky’s Dune charts the genesis

and ultimate failure of one of the

greatest films never made. In the 70s,

fresh from making cult classics such as

El Topo, Alejando Jodorowsky set his

sights on adapting Frank Hebert’s sci-fi

opus Dune. However, following months

of extensive writing, storyboarding,

location hunting and casting, the project

dramatically fell through – apparently

leaving Jodorowsky’s ambitions to alter

the landscape of science fiction cinema

unfulfilled.

AFTER DARK: LANCASTER’S FESTIVAL OF SLEEP After Dark is a public festival of sleep coming to Lancaster 12 - 22 November.

As part of the festival The Dukes

will be screening three films

on the theme of sleep, dreams,

night-time and the unconscious.

Part of the UK-wide Being Human

festival of the humanities, After

Dark is a week of events designed

to engage the community in

discussion, participation and

creative reflection on sleep and

sleeplessness in the modern world.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTThe Dukes is just a few minutes walk from both Lancaster Train Station

and Bus Station.

PARKINGAmple pay and display parking is available within two minutes walk of The Dukes

– a flat evening rate applies after 6pm. Bike racks are located on Moor Lane, close

to The Dukes.

CAR PARKING SPACES for blue badge holders can usually be reserved in

advance by contacting our Box Office.

ACCESSWheelchair spaces are available and access to the auditorium, Box Office and bar

is via the alley to the left of the main entrance. Please note that the surface of the

alley is cobbled. There is a doorbell by the ramp if the door is not open.
