  • Dummy Load

Using five (5) 50K Ohm power resistors

    DALE RS-10 50K Ohm 1%

Build your own Dummy Load Connect the five (5) 50 K ohm resistors

In series, then label the connection points A ~ E

  • A B = 100 K Ohms

    A C = 150 K Ohms

    A D = 200 K Ohms

    A E = 250 K Ohms

The Dummy Load can be used for troubleshooting the backlight inverter power

supply, by substituting for a single CCFL bulb on any one of the outputs on a

    multiple output backlight inverter supply.

Always remove the power before substituting the CCFL output with the resistor

    dummy load.

(I would) Connect a test clip lead from connection A on the resistor Dummy Load to

the ground return point for all the CCFL bulbs to the inverter supply.

(Then I would) Connect the second lead from connection points C to the inverter

output in which the plug was removed

Now apply power to the LCD and test the inverter power supply output.

Build a second resistor dummy load so you can substitute another output on the

    invert power supply.
