DURAT® design collection

The DURAT® design collection is a selection of exclusive, minimalist design furniture mainlyfor use in bathroom interiors. The collection includes bath tubs, shower trays, wash basins,tables, stools and benches.The DURAT® design collection has been developed by Ulla Koskinen, Ulla Tuominen andEeva Lithovius.

DURAT® material

The design models are made of DURAT®, which is a solid surface material containingrecycled plastics. The surface is easy to keep clean, resistant to various chemicals andcan always be renewed by a light sanding if needed.

DURAT® colours

The recommended colours for the DURAT® design models are the DURAT® colours 910(white), 760 (cream), 730 (light grey), 441 (dark grey) 540 (concrete), 054 (dark grey/black),254 (dark brown) and 450 (red). The models are, however, available in all standard Duratcolours.

All dimensions within this catalogue are quoted Length x Width x Height.

DURAT is a marvellous solid surface material for various kinds of interiors. It is easy to process and the mold technology isflexible. DURAT gives designers a free hand in constructing surfaces. It is an excellent material for hotels, spas and restaurants.

DURAT has an extensive range of sink models to be used in custom made vanity units for bathrooms and public sanitaryfacilities. DURAT’s colour chart is extensive (60 standard colours) and it is also possible to tint colours according to thecustomers’ specific wishes.

DURAT contains recycled plastics and is itself 100% recyclable.

DURAT for hotels

DURAT bespoke and design products are an excellent alternative for the interior design of hotels. There DURAT is mostcommonly used for: vanity units, bath tubs, shower trays, tabletops, bartops, service counters and benches.

RECYCLABLE DURAT MADE OFRECYCLED PLASTIC

DURAT is a solid polyester based material used for custom made surfacesin public and private interiors. It contains recycled plastics and is itself100% recyclable.

The sophistication of the DURAT material lies in its silky warm feeling andthe interesting impression of depth in its finish.

DURAT is extremely durable and can be renewed by slight sanding. The materialis very resistant to wear, humidity, and various kinds of chemicals.

DURAT IS AN OPPORTUNITY

DURAT is an excellent material for surfaces of different kinds. DURAT is anatural choice in places like restaurants, cafes, shops, hospitals, laboratories,boats and ships, bathrooms and kitchens.

The DURAT material offers designers almost infinite opportunities to createvarious surfaces. The sheets can be used to create, for example, coherent,seamless surfaces tens of meters in length with various forms of edge designand intarsia patterns. The seams can be sanded down to make them almostinvisible. The material is processed with woodworking tools.

DURAT has an extensive range of standard sink models to be used in custommade vanity units for bathrooms and public sanitary facilities.

DURAT – DISCREET OR COLOURFUL

DURAT’s colour chart is extensive. The three dimensional surface gives black,grey and even white a special sense of depth. The basic colours blue, red,green and yellow are also available in many fresh tones, and the selection alsoincludes various cheerfully speckled alternatives. It is also possible to tintcolours according to the customers’ specific wishes.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

The standard thickness of the DURAT sheetis 12 mm. When making a DURAT top thesheet is backed up by a 12-18 mm thickplywood or mdf support. The seams arevirtually unnoticeable.

Visible edges are finished in DURAT. Thestandard height of the edge of a worktop is30 mm and the upper radius is 3 mm, but thedimensions can be specified individually.
