The Iron Griffins smashed records on March 24th at the IPA Spring Fest in Newtown PA. Westside Barbells Dave Hoff (strongest powerlifter in world) posed with team! First place medals and best lifters were Chaz Schneider and newcomer Christina Pasqua. Trevor Robbins, Alabobola Aluko, Jared Helstowski, Connor Kurpat, Coach Deppen, Coach Nyeen, Charles Scheideler, Quamire Green, Coach Chase, Christina Pasqua, and Tara Geldhauser Congratulations to Mia Rankin and Dylan DelaCruz for being named to the 1st team ALL SHORE swim team list. The girls swim team also finished the season ranked #2 in the Shore Conference!

Congratulations to Senior, volleyball player Nikolas Ferraro on his selection to the 2017 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) High School All-American Watchlist. The national list of 217 high school volleyball players was released Monday, March 5th, and includes only two other NJ high school volleyball players. A four-year varsity boys volleyball letter winner, Feraro is a 6'6, Senior Middle Blocker / Right Side who has committed to play at the collegiate level at Penn State University - Altoona as a member of the Class of 2022. Altoona competes at the Division III level in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. In his junior season, Nik was selected to the All-Divisional Team, and 2nd Team All-Shore.
Molly Collins and Paige Slaven were both named 1st Team All B-South while Alyssa Hirschy and Melissa Buxton were named 2nd Team All B South by the Shore Conference Basketball Coaches Association.
Collins Slaven Buxton, Collins and Alyssa Hirschy were all selected to play in the Shore Conference Girls Senior All Star Game on March 21st at RWJ Barnabas Arena in Toms River.
