Point Score Trophy

Don’t forget the Austin 7 Club “Point Score” program. Our aim is to see as many people attending events and meetings (this includes monthly general meetings) as possible. Participation in an event or outing, begining from the starting point and going through to the finish, will score you 2 points while attendance at a general meeting will score you 1 point. These points are awarded if you show up in your Austin 7 or your modern and the person with the highest points tally will receive a trophy at our Christmas Luncheon/Presentation Day.So get involved, support your Club and have some fun. See the

Coming Events section on page 2 for our next event.

President’s Report

This month we plan to review the proposed new constitution. Thank you to those who submitted suggestions for changes to the draft copy. At this month’s general meeting an updated draft copy will be tabled to enable further discussion. There have been several enquiries about the date and location

for this year’s President’s Run and it certainly has been high on my agenda. The original planned date is unsuitable due to a conflict with an event at Wakefield, the following weekend coincides with the start of the school holidays, making it very difficult to secure any reasonable accommodation. As a result we have decided to move the President’s Run into October. The events calendar will be changed to accommodate the alternate date. The weather may have turned a little cooler but it’s just an excuse to

raise the hood and enjoy the warmth of the engine of your baby. We look forward to seeing you at our “Christmas in July” run.

Happy Motoring,Mark Wellington

Please note: Any Member using a vehicle that is on Conditional Registration (HCRS) and is attending a Secondary Club Run, or any event listed under Invitations Accepted or Other Events of Interest, MUST contact a Committee Member to advise your vehicle movements prior to attending the event. The committee of the nominated primary club on your conditional registration must be aware, and approve of, all movements of your vehicle. If you wish to attend invitational events outside Club runs, you must contact a committee Member to log the trip, otherwise your registration and insurance is not valid. At all times your Austin 7 should carry a copy of the Club’s Certificate of Insurance (Public Liability) and the most recent copy of “Baby Torque”.

Event Director’s Report

The last club run saw our members enjoy beautiful scenery as we drove through the countryside heading to Burragorang Valley and then the surrounding areas that led us to Picton. The day started with the Club’s first try at providing hot soup before we started our run, I believe it was a great success. Next was the fantastic morning tea provided by the volunteers at the Wollondilly Heritage Centre, then to Oakdale Workers Club for lunch. President Mark joined us at the Club Bistro for lunch. Mark doesn’t like missing a chance to drive his beautiful Austin 7 on outings with his Club Members. Mark had landed only a few hours before from a family party in Queensland. The weather was great and the views from the lookout at Burragorang were breathtaking. The run was attended by Cliff Edwards, Barbara and Kevin Fahey, Warren Gracie, Jeniffer McIntosh, James Murray and family, Amy and Paul Pui, Ken Rolley, Mark Wellington, Faye and Robert Yarroll, Maureen and Merv Boatwright. Please don’t forget to let the Events Director know, if you are going

to the Christmas in July outings as bookings must be made NOW!

Please join in the Christmas in July festivities and have a great day. We hope to fit in a few visits to places of interest as well finding time to enjoy our food.

See you on the July Run when the day starts with breakfast at Menai.

Happy Austin 7 touring,Maureen Boatwright

Happy Birthday to all the Members who celebrate birthdays in
