Chapter one: Getting student’s attention

Teacher always need their student's attention to provide safe environment

In classroom environment to get children attention teacher could use many of strategies that are easy to use and useful to reach to several levels of children. Teacher can clap or tap in a pattern, for example, clap slowly twice and then clap fast three times. The students may stop what they are doing and repeat the pattern. If necessary, teacher could do it again until all children have responded and keep calm.

Use rain stick is also useful. When she going to turn it over, it shows sounds that similar to rain falling. When the children hear the sound, may they are will stop what they are doing and listen.

Count system is another strategy to get children’s attention during class and between activities. It's amazing to use a count system. It could be count down or count up, Teacher should say, "You have until five to be ready for (name of activity that wanted from them ) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5." if teacher start she can a count down at whatever number she think students need to be ready. For example, start with 5, 10 or 15 depending on the activity to be put away. To make this more effectively teacher can ask them to count with her and repeat counting and asks them share with her twice times until she get their attention, then most of them will be attention and count in high voices, thus they will be able to focus with teacher and start another activity flexibility.

Chapter tow: manage appropriate and inappropriate behavior

Children learn new skills and change their behavior positively when they get instructions in encouraging, fun and active way.

In my opinion within one of important strategies to manage students' behaviour that increase bad behavior through stopped punishing children who struggle with behaviour, and we can develop good behaviour by encouraging them by different ways, for example, reward and praise children who doing positive behaviour in classroom . this may make this positive behaviour increase and make their peers try to do as they did to get their teacher attention.

Page 5: E book-dlalaljhouri

Because children in general, need fun and freedom while in school environment often they have to set in long time and listen carefully and this so hard to them teacher must know what things they need to provide them these things.

For illustrate if a teacher always seem serious and don't laugh or be kind with children some of them will decided to be make their own fun which causes noise and Chaos in classroom , another illustrate that children need some freedom for example if teacher doesn’t let them get some choice in the way they work or what they learn, so may they won’t work at all.

Chapter three: Acknowledging good work and responding when children’s work needs

improving.

• teacher should be aware about every child in her class , she should know about strong and weakness points for each child to be able to deal with their works in good way, this also earn creative and different ways to teacher that help her know how to responding with work that needs improving, and know how to acknowledging good work , for example if teacher see one child that she aware about his abilities did activity in perfect way she could show to this child how she happy about what he did by use positive words ,speak to him positively and encourage him in front of his peers this behave important to make this child excited to do more and more good working and it's very useful way to make presenting high level work developing constantly in class environment ,because the rest of students will be working hard to reach to their friend level .

Page 7: E book-dlalaljhouri

In the other hand this strategy can be used for make teacher know how to responded with child who did work that need improving, for illustrate: if teacher

observe child have lack of quality in doing activates compare with his peers, she will able to deal with this

problem Flexibly if she have complete knowledge about the personality of this child, what he prefer, and

how she can get his attention, that means teacher must know about her students’ needs and what make

them happy, interact and engage in lesson .

For example teacher know that one boy in her class always needs to feel belonging so she know if this boy

doesn't feel that he one of cleaver children for example.

In this statue teacher will know that why he show

that he don't care about lesson which lead him reach to low level of concentrate, thus she will deal with this

problem easily by make him feel that he cleaver as rest of children and increase his self-esteem by different ways , this might be through using ( I

massage) .

Chapter four: Tidying up the room after group work

• It’s important to keep classroom environment clean and tidy, and this could not happen without teach children to be collaborator with each other to clean after finish any activity.

As we know during move from different activates and areas children often left a mess in their places without clean up, and this is unhealthy phenomenon because it may effective in their behaviour outside school , also this problem might stell with them in future even if they finish their teaching in schools especially if they did not get clear instructions from teacher about that .

Page 9: E book-dlalaljhouri

To keep classroom tidiness there are several strategies that teachers can use it to maintain a clean classroom, in my opinion one of most useful strategies:

Teacher must solve problem mis organized time that because some of teachers wasting time in cleaning mess that children caused it, which might led to affect negatively in teaching lesson, so teacher could let children feel responsibility to clean up she can sing with them and let them sing "clean up clean up, every body, clean up ' song, I saw through my observation in preschool when teacher let children sing it during tidying, that was so useful for them, children will interact if teacher add fun instead of simple instructions.

Chapter five: questions for extending learning

• Asking questions have serious importance, include make teaching children develop by improve their skills in solve problems and ability of discussions, it's also important to build their language because they will be start to think and make long sentence when they try to answer some questions that need thinking.

I think teacher must be aware about that by make asking questions one of main routine in her class.

Page 11: E book-dlalaljhouri

• For example teacher can use questions by reading story.

When she tell children the story by reading the text. She can directly refer questions they might refer back

to the text: "Let's look closely at the words and see what they say."

Always before start reading story teacher should asking children several questions that includes

choices about what might happen. This will open their mind and develop their skills in

thinking.

Chapter six: Teacher talk

• There are advantages and disadvantages to teacher talk. It is not easy to reduce "teacher talk time" when talking to the students is a natural thing to do, bearing in mind the nature of the communicative classroom, teachers should perhaps be aware of when they must talking and when they must reduce talk and how use and manage talking time.

Sometimes teacher need to reduce talk time especially if children given activity have to finish it, because spending more time in talk could wasting time, moreover it might make some children who have less concentrate loss their attention and find the activity difficult. Also it leads to loss of concentration, boredom and reduced learning.

Page 13: E book-dlalaljhouri

So, in this situation teacher have to be clear and she must reduce the time of talking in addition to provide children clear instructions and individual help for child who needing that during activity. These strategies play important role to keep class environment calm and comfortable for teaching.http://issuu.com/dlal_aljhouri/docs/e-book.docx
