Looking at 'service' from the citizens' point of view, the Government of Andhra Pradeshseeks to redefine citizen services through eSeva, using state-of-the-art technologies.eSeva builds on the success of the TWINS pilot project launched in Banjara Hills,
Hyderabad, in December 1999.
VISION
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has a clear vision to create a knowledgesociety by using Information Technology in all aspects of development andgovernance. Pioneering efforts are being made to reach the benefits of IT tothe citizens - urban and rural, rich and poor, literate and illiterate. The Government isconscious of the dangers of the 'digital divide', and is making special provisions for reaching the 'information have-nots'.
• Service Centers were established by AP Government in partnership with privatesector to deliver on-line services
• Services: payments, issue of certificates, application for documents from differentagencies of state, local, central government and private sector
• Number of counters operated by private contract staff • Software that can process multiple types of transactions• Immediate connection to a Central Web Server which in turn communicates with
departmental servers.• eSeva started with one pilot center, expanded to 43 centers in the city of
Hyderabad, and later to 213 municipal towns, and is now being taken to rural
areas
Salient features of E-Seva
• 51 eSeva centres (with 400 service counters) spread over the Twin Cities andRanga Reddy District.

• All service counters are facilitated with an electronic queuing system.• Operating from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, on all working days and 9.00am to 1.00pm
on holidays (Second Saturdays & Sundays).• 'One-stop-shop' for over 66 G2C and B2C services.• No jurisdiction limits - any citizen in the twin cities can avail of the services at any
of the 51 eSeva service centres.• Online services: eForms, eFiling, ePayments.• Payments by cash/cheque/DD/credit card/Internet.

The e-payment procedures at e-seva
• As one logs into the e- seva website , one gets a home page where he facesa lot of options including that of G2C services. Refer to the screenshot below.
• For G2C services , one is required to refer to the transc. Services optionappearing in the home page. Once the user opts for that option list of thevarious G2C services appear , as is clear from the screenshot below.

• Once the various options appear, the user needs to just click at the desiredoption and he gets pop up window which asks for login id and password. Thepayement could be done by debit card credit cards as well as e-banking, thescreen shot is shown in the previous page.
