About E‐dar
EDAR is the founder of online‐based real estate business in Egypt. Co‐founded in 1999 by EFG‐Hermes S.A.E. (Egyptian Financial Group‐Hermes) an investment bank and the largest financial securities, services and stock brokerage company in Africa and the Middle East, EDAR started its leading real estate business with access to over 20,000 properties.
In May 2002, EDAR joined forces with a number of other leading internet based companies and became part of LINKdotNET, an internet industry leader in Egypt and one of Orascom Telecom group of companies. This partnership created a unique opportunity to share corporate and internet expertise and provided our clients with highly specialized and experienced management, research and technical teams.
In 2006, there has been a reformation of ownership. The Company was bought by the major franchise owners who are professionals working in the real estate field. The vision of the new owners includes making EDAR the first local real estate company, expanding the range of services and solutions offered by the Company and developing the professional skills and abilities of EDAR team.

Appraisal
Real Estate ‐ Properties are appraised by experts certified from the General Authority of Real Estate Financing.
Appraisals have 3 forms:
• Preliminary appraisal (by email) • Summarized appraisal (to determine the value only) • Certified appraisal
The form of the appraisal depends on its purpose to determine the value or to be presented to a certain authority to get a loan or to evaluate the assets of a company.
Personal Properties ‐ In association with Mahdy Valuation Office, E‐dar presents the service of valuation of movable (personal) properties. Appraisals have 2 forms, depending on the purpose of the valuation report.

Consultancy
Real Estate ‐ This includes market research and feasibility studies. E‐dar has completed various studies in the real estate market for the International Bank as well as several feasibility studies for investment firms and major real estate companies in the Middle East in many fields (residential – commercial – industrial – etc…)
Legal ‐ In cooperation with Al‐Ghamry & Hozaien Office for Legal Consultancy, E‐dar presents the service of legal consultancy. Al‐Ghamry & Hozaien has a wide experience in
