American Poetry Trilogy covered three great themes:

Heart Attacks (1976) explores man and science.

Face Value (1977) concerns man and mankind.

Showing My Age (1978) depicts man and society.

1980S In 1980, Governor Bob Graham appointed

Edmund Skellings Poet Laureate of Florida.

1980S Edmund Skellings

turned his attention to the emerging technology and gained a reputation as a computer pioneer.

He used a color monitor to highlight poetic elements such as meter and rhyme in matching colors.

1980S

IBM published the Electric Poet authoring system based upon Skellings’ patented teaching system.

1980S Skellings designed a modern information system

with electronic mail for the Florida Legislature.

Living Proof (1985) celebrates creative moments in art, science, and daily life.

1990S Collected Poems: 1958-

1998 includes Heart Attacks, Face Value, Showing My Age, Living Proof, and a new volume of poetry, Personal Effects.
